Biden\u2019s campaign had said there would be debates but did not delve into detailed demands until Wednesday. By noon on Wednesday, Biden and Trump had agreed to debates on CNN in June and ABC in September, in line with the requirements Biden had set in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/somethings-brewing-dan-scavino-posts-series-of-tweets-after-raucous-oval-office-meeting-trump-is-ready-to-take-action\/\" title=\"SOMETHING\u2019S BREWING! Dan Scavino Posts Series of Tweets After Raucous Oval Office Meeting \u2013 Trump Is Ready to Take Action\">video released earlier<\/a> in the day.<\/p>\n<p>Trump had strong fighting words for Biden after accepting his terms, saying the president was the \u201cWORST debater\u201d he had ever faced and to \u201cjust tell me when, I\u2019ll be there. \u2018Let\u2019s get ready to Rumble!!!&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Trump campaign and its supporters had speculated that Biden would not agree to a debate, but one Trump official <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/playbook\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"told\">told<\/a> <em>Politico<\/em> that the president agreeing to debate the former president was seen as a victory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think they walked right into a buzzsaw,\u201d\u00a0the official said. \u201cThere was\u00a0never\u00a0an understanding that there were even going to be debates. \u2026 We got what we wanted: We got debates! Everything else is background noise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the Trump camp has claimed a victory, so has the Biden campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden campaign laid out the ground rules for debates and had all of them granted. Not only did Biden\u2019s team sap Trump of an audience he is so fond of catering to \u2014 he refused to agree to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/challengers-hope-to-douse-popularity-of-colorados-fiery-rep-boebert\/\" title=\"Challengers Hope to Douse Popularity of Colorado\u2019s Fiery Rep. Boebert\u00a0\">virtual debate<\/a> in 2020 that would have precluded a live audience \u2014 but it also won relatively friendly venues in CNN and ABC. There has been back-and-forth on how many debates the two will have, but it appears as though Biden could claim another victory if they are constrained to just two contests.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Biden made his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-left-is-wrong-about-how-much-you-spend\/\" title=\"The Left's Spending Misconception\">terms clear<\/a> for two one-on-one debates, and Donald Trump accepted those terms.
