The venue, Dirt Dog, advertised \u2062an unauthorized meet-and-greet with Bluey from \u2062the popular Australian TV series. Attendees were disappointed as the event featured a bearded\u200c man in Bluey \u200cpajamas instead of the expected character. The\u2064 poorly organized event led to complaints about the lack of refreshments and misleading advertising.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Parents expressed their frustration on social media over a disastrous event for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/children\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">children<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  at a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/las-vegas\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Las Vegas<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  restaurant on May 11.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The venue Dirt Dog advertised an unofficial character meet and greet with Bluey, a massively popular animated dog from the Australian <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/television\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">TV series<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  of the same name. The original event description promised that attendees could \u201cWatch Bluey all day\u201d and also participate in face painting, games, a Bluey giveaway, and enjoy \u201csweet treats.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dirt Dog also said kids had a chance to meet \u201cBluey and friends.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Parents headed to social media to complain about the poorly organized event, saying the restaurant ran out of refreshments almost immediately. They also noted that the Bluey character in attendance was nothing more than a man with a visible beard dressed in \u201cBluey pajamas.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One mom on Facebook posted a photo of a different event she attended with a costumed Bluey character as a comparison.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cDO NOT GO! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!! Pic on the left (someone else\u2019s photo) is what kids are waiting for at Dirt Dog. That\u2019s what we were expecting. There are far better costumes out there. Pic on right was taken at Trunk r Treat event we took our kids to in the Silverton parking lot, they had going on last October,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/736296668704370\/?active_tab=discussion\">shared<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThat\u2019s what we were expecting. There are far better costumes out there. What a shame they got all those <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pilot-program-to-give-cash-to-expecting-mothers-and-families-with-newborns-in-michigan\/\" title=\"Cash given to expecting mothers and families with newborns in Michigan through a pilot program\">kids hopes<\/a> up,\u201d the Facebook user added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Another mom who attended the event <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox5vegas.com\/2024\/05\/14\/parents-outraged-by-massive-event-featuring-amateur-bluey-restaurant-apologizes\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">told<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  FOX5 Las Vegas, \u201cThe kids were distraught. Some kids were crying. It was a very upsetting moment to see so many kids, especially my daughter, just really upset,\u201d attendee Stephanie Hernandez continued.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The outlet noted that the venue baked 125 cupcakes for the event and was surprised by the turnout, despite more than 3,000 people responding to the event notice on Facebook. Dirt Dog\u2019s marketing spokesperson told FOX5 that a high number of Facebook responders doesn\u2019t always equate to a high turnout.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe expected like maybe 50 to 60 people \u2013 not in the sense of like the whole city coming out. Just now knowing who Bluey is, we would have planned ahead and would have had security,\u201d Taj Wilder told the outlet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The restaurant responded to the backlash with a follow-up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-this-average-american-is-voting-for-donald-trump\/\" title=\"Why This Average American Is Voting for Donald Trump\">social media post<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe are truly sorry this event wasn\u2019t to standard.
