Supporters of Price advocated\u2062 for the recall vote\u200c to coincide with the general election for\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-biggest-wins-and-losses-of-2023\/\" title=\"Biden's 2023: Major victories and setbacks\">increased voter \u2063turnout<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_78\">\n<p>The Alameda County Board of Supervisors selected the November general election for the date when voters will decide whether to <a href=\"https:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/recall\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"recall\">recall<\/a> Democratic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/district-attorney\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"District Attorney\">District Attorney<\/a> Pamela Price.<\/p>\n<p>The board of supervisors voted 3-0 during a meeting on Tuesday to set the recall vote for Nov. 5 rather than a special election after the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/crime\/2967319\/oakland-district-attorney-deemed-soft-on-crime-face-recall-vote-pamela-price\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"recall effort\">recall effort<\/a> was confirmed during a previous meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Supporters of Price had pushed for the recall vote to be held on the same day as the general election, hoping high voter turnout could help her survive the bid to oust her. Those supporting the recall had advocated that the vote be held sooner, separate from the general election.<\/p>\n<p>The November election will also see residents of Alameda County, which includes Oakland, vote in the presidential, Senate, and House elections, among other contests. Alameda County Registrar of Voters Tim Dupuis had pushed for the recall vote to occur alongside the general election, noting a separate special election could cost roughly $15 million to $20 million.<\/p>\n<p>Crime has been a key topic in Oakland and the rest of the county, as has been the case in various other big cities in recent years. Earlier this year, Gov.
