Jean-Pierre addressed challenges without delving into policy criticisms. \u2064The\u2062 dialogue shed light on Biden&#8217;s \u200cpublic image as \u200bthe 2024 election nears.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy grilled White House Press Secretary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/karine-jean-pierre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Karine Jean-Pierre<\/a> during Tuesday\u2019s briefing, asking her why nothing President Joe Biden was doing seemed to be really resonating with the American people.<\/p>\n<p>Doocy began by referencing recent polling \u2014 very little of which looks good for Biden \u2014 and jumped right into what that could mean for Biden in the months left before the 2024 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy do you think Americans are so down on President Biden right now?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d Jean-Pierre pushed back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know you don\u2019t like to talk about polls, like, the five of six swing states that he is losing right now to somebody who is a criminal offender,\u201d Doocy replied. \u201cBut, more broadly, it doesn\u2019t seem like anything you guys are doing is making him more popular. Why do you think that is?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, you \u2014 uh \u2014 you mentioned a criminal defendant, your words, not mine,\u201d Jean-Pierre said. \u201cSo I want to be super mindful about how I answer this question, because obviously, that criminal defendant is also a \u2014 in the race for 2024 elections, so going to be super mindful there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jean-Pierre then laid out her prepared litany of reasons \u2014 none of them Biden\u2019s policies \u2014 that Americans might feel like things weren\u2019t getting better. She listed everything from \u201cPutin\u2019s war\u201d and its impact on gas prices to the lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe understand that people are still feeling this.
