It would only be a misdemeanor that\u2019s outlived the statutes of limitations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a misdemeanor, not a felony,\u201d he continued. \u201cThe only basis for this being a felony is if there\u2019s a different underlying crime, which what they allege is that he made effectively a campaign contribution without it being recorded as such.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ramaswamy returned Bet-David and the crew to his litmus test.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cImagine you did the exact opposite,\u201d he said. \u201cWhat would the exact opposite be?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe exact opposite would be Donald Trump using campaign funds to make a personal hush money payment.
