href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/400-years-later-i-made-new-discoveries-about-the-first-thanksgiving\/\" title=\"400 Years Later, I Made New Discoveries About The First Thanksgiving\">article published<\/a> in early April explored the claim that Ashley Biden\u2019s diary \u201cdescribes actions taken toward her by her father when she was a child as \u2018probably not appropriate.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Whereas the article <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20240405205118\/https:\/\/www.snopes.com\/fact-check\/ashley-biden-diary-claims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">initially said<\/a> the claim had been \u201cUnproven,\u201d a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snopes.com\/fact-check\/ashley-biden-diary-claims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revised version<\/a> published at the end of the month changed the rating to \u201cTrue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A note affixed to the top of the article cites an April 8 letter to a New York judge requesting jail time for one of the two people <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/woman-gets-sentenced-to-prison-for-selling-ashley-bidens-diary\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">convicted of stealing<\/a> Ashley Biden\u2019s diary in the run-up to the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will forever have to deal with the fact that my personal journal can be viewed online,\u201d Ashley Biden wrote in the letter, which The New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/static01.nyt.com\/newsgraphics\/documenttools\/654c5f7182bca1ee\/6fe57478-full.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><a \u201cstrong evidence\u201d that the diary existed but argued no source had authenticated the contents of the pages that were published online.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/217072\/cotton-probes-for-doj-employees-spilling-beans-on-investigation-into-missing-ashley-biden-diary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alleged pages<\/a> from the first daughter\u2019s diary, including one talking about being \u201chyper-sexualized\u201d at a young age and \u201cshowers w\/ my dad (probably not appropriate),\u201d were <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalfile.com\/official-national-file-statement-regarding-fbi-interest-in-ashley-bidens-probably-not-appropriate-showers-diary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published<\/a> by a website called National File.<\/p>\n<p>The earlier iteration of the Snopes fact-check claimed \u201cthe authenticity of photographs purported to be from a diary is
