During the first year of his presidency, Biden signed legislation in an attempt to address it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m proud to have signed this COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act with your support,\u201d Biden said at the event. <\/p>\n<p>He also <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/4661397-biden-bashes-trump-asian-american-heritage-month\/#:~:text=President%20Biden%20on%20Monday%20used,and%20his%20comments%20about%20immigrants.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>slammed<\/a> Trump for his efforts to overturn the Affordable Care Act and his comments about immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we fight for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-admin-revives-catch-and-release-to-avoid-housing-illegal-immigrants-amid-border-surge\/\" title=\"Biden Admin Revives \u2018Catch-And-Release\u2019 To Avoid Housing Illegal Immigrants Amid Border Surge\">comprehensive immigration reform<\/a>, he calls immigrants rapists and murderers.
