Great job!  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/news\/\">  News <\/a>   <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/johnathanjones\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/johnathanjones\/%20\"><span>Johnathan Jones<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   May 13, 2024 at 12:12pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>Jen Psaki spun a tale that was at odds with the truth in her new book when she claimed her then-boss, President Joe Biden, never checked his watch in the presence of Gold Star families in 2021 as the remains of their children returned to the United States from Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>The former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-ex-biden-spox-jen-psaki-explains-president-avoid-press-conferences\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">White House press secretary<\/a> has since vowed that future versions of the book will be without her revisionism on the subject.<\/p>\n<p>Biden made headlines in August 2021 for his actions after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-report-kabul-bomber-killed-13-service-members-just-released-prison-biden-ceded-taliban\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">13 U.S. service members<\/a> were killed in a suicide bombing at the airport in Kabul amid his administration\u2019s chaotic exit from Afghanistan to end American military operations there after two decades.<\/p>\n<p>Even the left\u2019s reliable fact-checkers at USA Today\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snopes.com\/fact-check\/biden-check-watch-13\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-vars-link-text=\"Snopes\" data-vars-click-url=\"https:\/\/www.snopes.com\/fact-check\/biden-check-watch-13\/\" data-vars-content-id=\"24d437ef-cb0b-40f0-84c1-6e5f56f01934\" data-vars-headline=\"Psaki's new book falsely recounts Biden's watch check in troop ceremony\" data-vars-event-category=\"story\" data-vars-sub-category=\"story\" data-vars-item=\"in_content_link\">Snopes<\/a> confirmed the president had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/video-biden-appears-check-watch-dignified-transfer-service-members-killed-afghanistan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">checked the time<\/a> while he was in the presence of grieving families.<\/p>\n<p>At Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, Biden met with some families of the fallen and participated in the dignified transfer of the troops\u2019 remains.<\/p>\n<p>He was seen on video looking at his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fact-check-corrected-yes-biden-checked-watch-multiple-times-during-dignified-transfer-of-u-s-troops\/\" title=\"\u2018Fact-Check\u2019 Corrected:\u00a0Yes, Biden Checked Watch Multiple Times During Dignified Transfer Of U.S. Troops\u00a0\">watch multiple times<\/a> during the ceremony, angering the parents and much of the public.<\/p>\n<p>In her new book \u201cSay More: Lessons from Work, the White House, and the World,\u201d Psaki claimed Biden did not check the time during the ceremony, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/05\/13\/psaki-book-biden-watch-check-afghanistan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Axios<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>She wrote that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/tom-cotton-bidens-position-hamas-victory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">her former boss<\/a> \u201clooked at his watch only after the ceremony had ended. Moments later, he and the First Lady headed toward their car.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Psaki, who is now a host at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jen-psaki-blasted-john-kerry-msnbc-interview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MSNBC<\/a>, went on to claim that people who had accurately pointed out Biden\u2019s perceived slight had engaged in \u201cmisinformation\u201d they hoped to use to make the president \u201cappear insensitive, concerned only about how much time had passed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In its fact check, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/factcheck\/2021\/09\/01\/fact-check-biden-checked-watch-after-ceremony-dover-air-force-base\/5663427001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USA Today<\/a> concluded, \u201cWhile Biden did pay his respects to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gov-andrew-cuomo-calls-to-remember-essential-workers-on-memorial-day-weekend\/\" title=\"Gov. Andrew Cuomo calls to remember essential workers on Memorial Day weekend\">fallen service members<\/a>, photos and video show he also checked his watch during the ceremony.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It said the president had checked his watch \u201cat least three times\u201d during the dignified transfer.<\/p>\n<p>That wasn\u2019t the only mistake in that section of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jen-psaki-admits-rfk-jr-huge-huge-huge-problem-joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Psaki\u2019s<\/a> book: She also cited a Washington Post article to shore up her claim, when in fact the passage came from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/factcheck\/2021\/09\/01\/fact-check-biden-checked-watch-after-ceremony-dover-air-force-base\/5663427001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USA Today<\/a> story about the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The former press secretary initially refused to comment on the inaccuracies in her book, according to Axios.<\/p>\n<p>However, Psaki later told the outlet that the \u201cdetail in a few lines of the book about the exact number of times he looked at his watch will be removed in future reprints and the ebook.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe story on Afghanistan is really about the importance of delivering feedback even when it is difficult told through my own experience of telling President Biden that his own story of loss was not well received by the families who were grieving their sons and daughters,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>When Biden met with families of the fallen, he invoked the death of his son <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-tries-play-beau-biden-card-trump-counters-takedown-hunter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beau Biden<\/a>, a 46-year-old Iraq War veteran who succumbed to brain cancer in 2015. That did not sit well with some parents, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/mother-of-marine-killed-in-kabul-says-biden-rolled-his-fing-eyes-when-she-remembered-son-during-meeting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> reported at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Shana Chappell, the mother of Marine Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui \u2013 who died in the attack at the Kabul airport \u2013 notably unleashed on Biden on her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/socal.angel.3\/posts\/3040817939483743\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> page after the transfer of remains ceremony on Aug. 30, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Chappell wrote, \u201c[I] am the one who stood 5 inches from your face and was letting you know I would never get to hug my son again, hear his laugh and then you tried to interrupt me and give me your own sob story and I had to tell you \u201cthat this isn\u2019t about you so don\u2019t make it about you!!!\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Do you think Joe Biden will win re-election?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gold-star-mothers-blown-away-bidens-disrespectful-treatment-beyond-disgusting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">grieving mother<\/a> also wrote, \u201c[I] watched you disrespect us all 5 different times by checking your watch!!!
