It\u200c emphasizes the uphill battle ahead for Biden in his re-election campaign.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/commentary\/\">  Commentary <\/a>  <\/p>\n<h2>CNN Breaks the Bad News to Biden: &#8216;It&#8217;s Best to Be Honest About Reality&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p> <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/ccavanaugh\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/ccavanaugh\/%20\"><span>Connor Cavanaugh<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   May 13, 2024 at 1:56pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>With the flurry of information that goes around before a presidential election, it can be hard to know what\u2019s true and what\u2019s simply conjecture.<\/p>\n<p>One thing is for certain; if CNN is willing to admit that their darling President Joe Biden is doing bad, he\u2019s doing <em>very <\/em>bad.<\/p>\n<p>Presidential polling has been all over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/demolition-of-surfside-fla-condo-to-take-place-between-sunday-night-and-monday-morning\/\" title=\"Demolition of Surfside, Fla. condo to take place between Sunday night and Monday morning\">place ahead<\/a> of the November general election.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/projects.fivethirtyeight.com\/polls\/president-general\/2024\/national\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FiveThirtyEight<\/a>, on average, former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nyt-polls-find-trump-upended-electoral-map-leads-biden-5-battleground-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a> has managed to stay ahead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-no-need-for-trump-to-still-receive-intelligence-briefings\/\" title=\"Biden: \u2018No Need\u2019 For Trump To Still Receive Intelligence Briefings\">incumbent president<\/a> in key states, though the margin of victory greatly varies.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at individual polls, instead of averages, shows even more chaotic turbulence.<\/p>\n<p>With all that information flying around, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/05\/10\/opinions\/us-election-isnt-playing-out-how-i-thought-zakaria\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a> is (shockingly) making it easier for everybody to understand: Trump is ahead and Biden is behind where it matters.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday\u2019s episode of \u201cFareed Zakaria GPS,\u201d CNN host Fareed Zakaria put it bluntly for his viewers: \u201cAs someone worried about the prospects of a second Trump term, I think it\u2019s best to be honest about reality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zakaria proceeded to give a stark warning to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-impeachment-articles-prepared-tactics-democrats-used-trump-come-back-haunt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democrats<\/a> throughout the country when he noted that \u201cTrump is now leading in almost all the swing states.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">When the \u201924 race began to take shape, I thought Pres. Biden had a strong pitch to voters: a rebounding economy and a return to normalcy after the chaos of Covid &#038; Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Things haven\u2019t played out that way.<\/p>\n<p>My take: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/WAwifAZjfB\">pic.twitter.com\/WAwifAZjfB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Fareed Zakaria (@FareedZakaria) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FareedZakaria\/status\/1789717557697524161?\">May 12, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Will Biden\u2019s economy become a dominating factor in the election?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>He noted issues like the conflict in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bill-send-arrested-palestinian-students-gaza-hits-congress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gaza<\/a> and the economy have created massive rifts in the party, an issue that Democrats are still actively grappling with.<\/p>\n<p>Economic issues in particular are hamstringing Biden, as the generally poor state of the economy affects all people across all political persuasions.<\/p>\n<p>The CNN host also talked about polls looking overall unfavorable for the aging Delaware politician, specifically with progressive Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI understand that polls are not always accurate, but in general, they have tended to underestimate Donald Trump\u2019s support, not overestimated,\u201d he stated. \u201cI doubt that there are many shy Biden voters in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additional issues like third-party candidates and concerns over Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/new-biden-campaign-ad-mocked-laughable-claim-mental-state\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mental acuity<\/a> at work worsen his chances in November.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe one that troubles me most concerns the question of who is more competent,\u201d he said. \u201cBiden led Trump by nine points in 2020, but Trump now leads by 16 points in 2024. That 25-point shift could be a reflection of people\u2019s sense that the president\u2019s age is affecting his capacity to govern.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zakaria then delivered the punchline to all of this bad news: \u201cIf so, there is very little that Biden can do to change that perception.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Things look bleak for Biden and it\u2019s not just his dissenters saying it.<\/p>\n<p>His <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-campaign-seeking-use-obama-george-clooney-possibly-julia-roberts-garner-support-hollywood-elites-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">campaign<\/a> is not finding the success he wanted in his re-election run.<\/p>\n<p>As Zakaria said, \u201ctrendlines are not working in Biden\u2019s favor. He needs to do something bold and dramatic to seize the initiative \u2014 on asylum policy for example \u2014 and reverse these numbers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Biden is not the \u201cbold and dramatic\u201d type so much as he\u2019s the senile and slow type.<\/p>\n<p>Look, nobody with a shred of honesty is trying to call the November election in May, or to suggest that Trump is guaranteed a victory.<\/p>\n<p>By that same token, however, nobody with a shred of intelligence can look at all these early signs and suggest that Biden\u2019s path to victory isn\u2019t becoming a longer and longer shot by the day.<\/p>\n<p>While it\u2019s definitely too early to call the election, it certainly seems that everyone knows roughly how it\u2019s going to play out.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>We who work here at The Western Journal have fought for years against Big Tech and the elites who want to shut us down and then shut America down. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Make no mistake \u2014 nothing will be the same after November 2024.
