Trump is also just behind Biden among <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/hispanics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Hispanic<\/a> voters by only 3 percentage points in the poll, with Jones suggesting that the new data should be \u201ca wake-up call\u201d ahead of the election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYoung people are upset, and it\u2019s not just the situation in Gaza,\u201d Jones said. \u201cThe economic prospects for young people are miserable. And that\u2018s been building under Obama. It\u2019s been building under Trump. It\u2019s building under Biden. We just do not have a pathway for young people to be able to pay off their student debt, get a house, people are looking at this AI wave and are worried about what job, what career path, and so that pain has to be spoken to directly and specifically.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jones added that six months ahead of the election, younger voters have not yet heard \u201ca full-throated approach\u201d from the Biden administration. While the president has provided some \u201csymbolic peace\u201d with this voting group with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/2865743\/biden-student-loan-debt-relief\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>student loan forgiveness<\/a>, it has not been enough to win this group over yet.<\/p>\n<p>It is not the first time Jones has spoken unfavorably of Biden and his reelection bid, suggesting earlier this year that the president <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/2814597\/biden-stay-hidden-win-van-jones-doesnt-inspire-confidence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>\u201cdoesn\u2019t inspire confidence\u201d<\/a> and should remain \u201chidden\u201d ahead of the election. Both the economy and inflation, along with safety from crime, were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/2992010\/trump-outpacing-biden-in-voter-trust-ahead-of-2024-election-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>listed as the most important topics<\/a> among the recipients of the poll.<\/p>\n<p>During Trump\u2019s massive rally in New Jersey held over the weekend, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3000917\/trump-vows-replace-bidenomics-with-maganomics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>the former president vowed<\/a> to replace \u201cBidenomics,\u201d a term coined by the Biden administration, with \u201cMAGAnomics\u201d should he return to the Oval Office in 2025.
