Tom Cotton of Arkansas on Sunday accused President Joe Biden of taking the side of Hamas in an effort to end the war in Gaza,\u00a0 which was started by Hamas when it slaughtered Israeli civilians on Oct. 7.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden\u2019s position is de facto for Hamas victory at this point. Israel\u2019s goal is to destroy Hamas, which committed the worst atrocity against Jews since World War II. Hamas\u2019s goal is to survive,\u201d Cotton said on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/tom-cottom-republican-senator-arkansas-face-the-nation-transcript-05-12-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS show<\/a> \u201cFace the Nation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Israel does not go into Rafah and destroy Hamas in Rafah, Hamas will survive,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Biden has said he would go so far as deny Israel the tools of war needed to attack Rafah.<\/p>\n<p>Cotton denounced the current policy comments of the Biden administration on Hamas as a \u201cbunch of weaselly, mealy-mouthed politics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Comments from Secretary of State Antony Blinken that paint both sides as having done wrong \u00a0are \u201csome magic talisman to help them walk the political line they want between the pro-Hamas wing of their party and the vast pro-Israel majority of the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cotton said despite international condemnation for bombing the terrorists of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-former-miss-israel-walks-nyc-sign-saying-idf-soldier-ask-anything\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hamas<\/a>, \u00a0\u201cIsrael is doing more than any military in history, in all likelihood, to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-russia-claims-separatist-regions-have-asked-for-its-help-fighting-ukraines-military\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Russia Claims Separatist Regions Have Asked For Its Help Fighting Ukraine\u2019s Military\">prevent civilian casualties<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Hamas did not hide behind and under civilians, there would no \u2013 there would not be civilian casualties. For that matter, if Hamas simply surrendered and turned over all these hostages, there would be no more civilian suffering in Gaza,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Cotton accused Biden of imposing \u201ca <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cotton-accuses-biden-of-imposing-a-de-facto-arms-embargo-against-israel\/\" title=\"Cotton alleges Biden's 'De Facto Arms Embargo' on Israel\">de facto arms embargo<\/a> on Israel and sanctions on Israelis, noting that he just said last week that he\u2019s not going to send offensive weapons.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Will Israel wipe out Hamas?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe have no idea what he\u2019s going to withhold,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Cotton noted that if America changes presidents after the November general election, the nation\u2019s policy toward Israel would change as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Trump said just last night that he would absolutely provide Israel with the weapons they need to finish the job. This would have never happened on President Trump- Trump\u2019s watch, it didn\u2019t happen on his watch,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd if he were president, this war would have probably already been over with much less civilian suffering in Gaza because he would have backed Israel to the hilt from the beginning,\u201d Cotton added.<\/p>\n<p>A report in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2024\/05\/11\/us-israel-rafah-invasion-palestinians-evacuation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Washington Post<\/a> said that U.S. intelligence agencies are working with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-actor-says-unendorsing-biden-fiery-rant-treatment-israel-pushed-away\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Israel<\/a> to pinpoint the locations of key Hamas leaders as a way to avert a broad-based attack.<\/p>\n<p>A report in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/biden-says-there-would-be-a-ceasefire-in-gaza-tomorrow-if-hamas-frees-hostages\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Times of Israel<\/a> quoted Biden as saying if the hostages taken Oct. 7 are released, there could be a cease-fire.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere would be a ceasefire tomorrow if Hamas would release the hostages,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/netanyahu-refuses-blink-bidens-weapons-threat-will-stand-alone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden<\/a> said at a fundraiser.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIsrael said it\u2019s up to Hamas; if they wanted to do it, we could end it tomorrow. And the cease-fire would begin tomorrow,\u201d Biden said.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Hamas admitted that in offering to exchange 33 hostages as part of a deal, not all the hostages exchanged would be alive, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/05\/07\/us\/politics\/israel-hamas-hostages-dead.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>\u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d Those 12 words have been stuck in my head since I first read them. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Former Lt.
