Vance from Ohio defended Donald Trump&#8217;s remarks on\u2062 Jewish voters supporting Biden,\u200d criticized as\u200b anti-Semitic. Trump&#8217;s comments included shaming Jewish Biden supporters \u2064and accusing Biden of animosity towards Israel \u200cand the Jewish community. Vance<\/a> (R-OH) came to Donald Trump\u2019s defense on Sunday after the former president\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/army-investigating-chaplain-who-said-transgender-people-unqualified-to-serve\/\" title=\"Army Investigating Chaplain Who Said Transgender People \u2018Unqualified To Serve\u2019\">recent comments<\/a> on Jewish people that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/2999259\/trump-accused-of-antisemitism-in-latest-attempt-to-tell-jews-not-to-vote-for-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>some deemed<\/a> antisemitic.<\/p>\n<p>During remarks this week, Trump said of Jews who plan to vote for President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Joe Biden<\/a>, \u201cShame on you.\u201d Separately, he also said that Biden \u201chates Israel\u201d and \u201chates the Jewish people\u201d and that Jewish people planning to vote for Biden \u201cshould <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/04\/10\/us\/politics\/trump-jews-biden.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"have their head examined\">have their head examined<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During a Sunday appearance on CNN\u2019s <em>State of the Union<\/em>, Vance pushed back on the critics and said that he thinks \u201cpeople should look at the record\u201d and see that Trump\u2019s presidency was good for the state of Israel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had peace and prosperity in our country, and we had a very stalwart ally of the Israelis,\u201d Vance said.<\/p>\n<p>Vance drew contrasts to Biden\u2019s presidency, noting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/terrorism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>terrorist<\/a> attack against Israel back in October and the protests that have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/george-washington-statue-defaced-by-gwus-pro-palestinian-protesters\/\" title=\"Pro-Palestinian Protesters Deface George Washington Statue\">roiled college campuses<\/a> across the United States. He also accused Biden of trying to micromanage Israel\u2019s response to the Hamas attack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo I think it\u2019s reasonable to look at this situation and say that, if you\u2019re a Jewish American who cares about the state of Israel, who cares about these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/antisemitism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>antisemitic<\/a> riots, and say you should be on the side of Republicans in 2024 because they govern effectively on some of the issues that you care about, I think it\u2019s a totally reasonable argument to make and I think Donald Trump is going to keep on making it,\u201d Vance said.<\/p>\n<p>Vance said that Trump hasn\u2019t just singled out Jewish people but has \u201csingled out a lot of people\u201d for voting for Biden and has suggested \u201cthey\u2019ve got to wake up\u201d and elect him come November.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the fact that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a> is talking about Jews in that particular context does not mean he doesn\u2019t think the same lessons apply to a whole host of American citizens,\u201d Vance said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Campaign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>campaign<\/a> was quick to attack Trump over the remarks about Jewish voters this week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike a cuckoo clock of hate, he is popping up every month with the same <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-accused-of-antisemitism-in-latest-attempt-to-tell-jews-not-to-vote-for-biden\/\" title=\"Trump faces allegations of antisemitism in recent bid to dissuade Jewish support for Biden\">patronizing antisemitic shtick<\/a> and reminding Jewish voters that he has no respect for us,\u201d Biden campaign spokesman Charles Lutvak said in a statement.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sen.
