This strategy aims to \u200bcounterbalance the Republican influence in these pivotal areas.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"President Joe Biden\">Joe Biden<\/a>\u2019s reelection <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/2024-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"campaign\">campaign<\/a> is utilizing its fundraising muscle to open dozens of field offices in some of the country\u2019s most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/republican\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"campaign\">Republican<\/a>-leaning counties located in critical <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/swing-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"swing states\">swing states<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign opened more than 150 offices and hired more than 400 staffers in seven battleground states. They intend to have 200 offices and 500 staffers in place by the end of the month, the campaign <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/05\/11\/bidens-red-counties-trump?utm_source=newsletter&#038;utm_medium=email&#038;utm_campaign=newsletter_axiosam&#038;stream=top\">confirmed<\/a> to Axios.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign has already opened many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-campaign-ups-their-ground-game-fighting-to-cut-into-trumps-margins-in-rural-counties\/\" title=\"Biden campaign boosts grassroots efforts to narrow Trump's lead in rural areas\">field offices \u2014 including 44<\/a> in Wisconsin, 24 in Pennsylvania, and 30 in Michigan, according to reporting from<a href=\"https:\/\/ca.news.yahoo.com\/biden-growing-tally-campaign-offices-093028766.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title> CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Much of the election will be fought in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, known as a \u201cblue wall\u201d due to their historic support for Democrats. Former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a> flipped all three states to win the White House in 2016, but Biden won them four years ago. The campaign is aware Biden will need to hold onto victories in these states to secure a second term.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s campaign strategy is to cut into Republicans\u2019 margins in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/this-data-for-masked-vs-unmasked-counties-would-be-on-every-front-page-if-it-showed-a-different-result\/\" title=\"This Data For Masked Vs Unmasked Counties Would Be On Every Front Page, If It Showed a Different Result\">rural counties<\/a> where Trump won in 2020 and keep rural Biden supporters engaged ahead of the election. For example, in Wisconsin Biden now has 46 offices open in 42 of the state\u2019s counties, which includes 23 where Trump won by double digits in 2020. They recently opened a field office in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, which Biden lost to Trump by 16 points in 2020, in an effort to cut down his margin of defeat.<\/p>\n<p>Last cycle, the Biden and Trump camps took different approaches to getting out the vote in 2020, with Biden embracing COVID-19 safety protocols while Trump campaigned in- person. This year, Democrats are eager to flip the script.
