Haley, who was the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under Trump, might find her way onto her former boss\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-one-in-six-biden-voters-would-have-changed-their-vote-if-they-had-known-about-scandals-suppressed-by-media\/\" title=\"Poll: One In Six Biden Voters Would Have Changed Their Vote If They Had Known About Scandals Suppressed By Media\">presidential ticket<\/a> as his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: 'Pipeline' to Obama Admin Seen as 'Currency'\">vice president<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Haley is now under \u201cactive consideration\u201d by Trump to be his vice president, according to <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/05\/11\/trump-moves-haley-off-blacklist-2024-election\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Axios<\/a><\/em>. The South Carolina politician has yet to endorse Trump for the presidency since dropping out of the primary in March after losing critical states on Super Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>It has long been believed that Trump is interested in a female running mate \u2014 he had Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), former centrist Democrat turned independent Tulsi Gabbard, and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD) on his shortlist at one point.<\/p>\n<p>But Haley appeared to have taken herself out of contention, given Trump\u2019s comments before the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/New-Hampshire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>New Hampshire<\/a> primary in January, and their combative relationship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe is OK, but she is not presidential timber,\u201d Trump said. \u201cAnd when I say that, that probably means she is not going to be chosen as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/vice-president\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>vice president<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Haley also said then that such a move would be \u201coff the table\u201d for her. Yet, that is also when Haley was still competitive in the primary with Trump, and looked to appeal to the more moderate base of the Republican Party. <\/p>\n<p>The latter could be a solid reason for Trump to pursue her, but there\u2019s also concern the move could irk some people close to Trump, and more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/conservative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>conservative<\/a> voters.<\/p>\n<p>But Haley has drawn a significant amount of votes away from Trump in this year\u2019s primary, and appealing to that moderate base could help the former president siphon votes away from President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Trump named Mike Pence as his vice president in July 2016 despite the latter\u2019s late endorsement of him as well. <\/p>\n<p>South Carolina Sen.
