Despite Harmony&#8217;s remains \u2064never being found, Montgomery was convicted of second-degree murder, assault, witness tampering, and \u2064more. This tragic case\u2064 captured\u2062 nationwide attention\u2063 since Harmony\u200d went missing in December 2019.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>The father of 5-year-old Harmony Montgomery, who captured the nation\u2019s attention when she went missing in December 2019, has been sentenced for murdering his daughter.<\/p>\n<p>Adam Montgomery, 34, was sentenced on Thursday to 56 years to life in prison, to run consecutively with his sentence of 33.5 to 60 years in prison for unrelated firearms charges, People Magazine <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/harmony-montgomery-father-sentenced-up-to-life-prison-8646302\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>. Montgomery was found guilty in February of second-degree murder, second-degree assault, witness tampering, falsifying evidence, and abuse of corpse.<\/p>\n<p>It took a jury <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-tragic-disappearance-of-harmony-montgomery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">less than a day<\/a> to convict Montgomery of Harmony\u2019s murder, even though her remains have never been found.<\/p>\n<p>Montgomery was in prison at the time of Harmony\u2019s birth, so she lived with her mother, Crystal Sorey, until the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (DCF) became involved when Harmony was just two months old. DCF placed Harmony in foster care, where she bounced back and forth between that and her mother\u2019s care until February 2019, when her father and his wife, Kayla, were given custody. The couple lived in New Hampshire, and just five months after they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-donations-pour-in-for-humble-burger-king-cook-after-viral-loyalty-video\/\" title=\"WATCH: Donations Pour In For Humble Burger King Cook After Viral \u2018Loyalty\u2019 Video\">gained custody<\/a> of Harmony, the New Hampshire Department of Children, Youth, and Families (NHDCYF) received a report about abuse. Harmony had a black eye, and Montgomery admitted to hurting his daughter.<\/p>\n<p>Even with Montgomery\u2019s admission, NHDCYF\u2019s assessment of the situation determined the allegations of harm were unfounded in October 2019.<\/p>\n<p>On November 18, 2021, Sorey reached out to Manchester police to say she had not seen her daughter since a FaceTime call in April 2019, more than two and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/candace-owens-my-juneteenth-tweet-trended-for-three-days-heres-why-im-right\/\" title=\"CANDACE OWENS: My Juneteenth Tweet Trended For Three Days. Here\u2019s Why I\u2019m Right.\">half years earlier<\/a>. On December 27, 2021, NHDCYF told the police they couldn\u2019t find Harmony and police opened a search. Within days, Manchester police announced Harmony\u2019s disappearance and that a search had commenced.<\/p>\n<p>In early January 2022, Montgomery was arrested after he was found to be living in his car with a girlfriend. He was charged with Harmony\u2019s disappearance. His wife was also arrested and charged.<\/p>\n<p>At Montgomery\u2019s trial, prosecutors alleged that he beat Harmony to death in December 2019 after she had a bathroom accident in his car, prosecutor Christopher Knowles said in his opening statements, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/watch-live-adam-montgomery-murder-trial-harmony-montgomery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to CBS Boston<\/a>. After killing his daughter, prosecutors alleged, Montgomery \u201cpulled into that parking lot at Burger King and he ordered his food.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1715277499888000&#038;usg=AOvVaw0NA3OhBVlLZN4oiqkhssDO\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe ordered his food and he ate. He didn\u2019t stop to check on Harmony,\u201d Knowles added, according to the outlet. \u201cHe didn\u2019t look back at her. He didn\u2019t show any concern for this innocent little girl, the child he had just beaten. He ordered his food, and he ate. And he didn\u2019t stop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the three months after Harmony\u2019s death, Montgomery allegedly moved her body to different places and in different containers. His wife Kayla testified that at one point, Harmony\u2019s body was in the trunk of a friend\u2019s car, a cooler left in the hallway of her mom\u2019s apartment building, the ceiling vent of a homeless shelter where she and Montgomery were living with her two kids, and a freezer in an apartment. Kayla also said the remains were held in a tote bag from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/flashback-before-target-marketed-demonic-transgender-gear-to-children-celebrity-did-the-same-thing\/\" title=\"Before Target sold demonic transgender clothing to kids, a celebrity did it too.\">hospital maternity ward<\/a> that she placed in a stroller between her own two kids to bring to Montgomery\u2019s place of work, CBS reported. At another time, People magazine <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/harmony-montgomerys-father-found-guilty-murdering-5-year-old-8598768\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> that Harmony\u2019s body was apparently kept in a closet until neighbors complained about the smell.<\/p>\n<p>It is believed that in March 2020, Montgomery disposed of Harmony\u2019s body using a rented U-Haul.<\/p>\n<p>Montgomery claimed at trial that it was Kayla who killed Harmony and tried to frame him, but jurors didn\u2019t buy it. Kayla pleaded guilty to charges of lying to police to obstruct their murder investigation.
