On May 1, 2024, Utah launched a <a href=\"https:\/\/ut-sao-special-prod.web.app\/sex_basis_complaint2.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reporting form<\/a> to enforce <a href=\"https:\/\/le.utah.gov\/~2024\/bills\/static\/HB0257.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">H.B. 257<\/a>, a law signed by Gov. Spencer Cox in January that protects sex-designated spaces such as restrooms or locker rooms from intrusions by members of the opposite sex. The state auditor is required to investigate these reports, but within a week, the office received around 10,000 false complaints from trans activists attempting to overwhelm the system to make reporting and enforcement impossible.<\/p>\n<p>Prominent trans activist Erin Reed <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/transgender-bathroom-law-utah-tip-line-943112e6ff6f5768caa0cd42403957a0?utm_campaign=TrueAnthem&#038;utm_medium=AP&#038;utm_source=Twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">argued<\/a>, \u201cIf there are 4,000, 5,000, 6,000 form responses that are entered in, it\u2019s going to be much harder for the auditor\u2019s office to sift through every one of them and find the one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/transgender-activists-call-in-hoaxes-to-utah-tip-line-to-hamper-enforcement-of-new-bathroom-law\/\" title=\"Transgender advocates reported fake incidents to Utah tip line to obstruct enforcement of new bathroom legislation\">legitimate trans person<\/a> who was caught using a bathroom.\u201d The enforcement, which only addresses the failure of government entities enforcing the new law, includes reporting the failure of government entities to contact law enforcement when a criminal complaint is filed (for instance, a complaint of men caught spying on women or girls in restrooms).<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1138315265\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-28eab03eb3fbe179ba9fda6768c6cf69 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-28eab03eb3fbe179ba9fda6768c6cf69\"><\/div>\n<p>Utah Auditor John Dougall <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/transgender-bathroom-law-utah-tip-line-943112e6ff6f5768caa0cd42403957a0?utm_campaign=TrueAnthem&#038;utm_medium=AP&#038;utm_source=Twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">noted<\/a> that while many complaints were easy to screen (e.g., those listing him in the complaint), others \u201cappear credible at first glance and take much longer to filter out. His staff has spent the last week sorting through thousands of well-crafted complaints citing fake names or locations.\u201d Activists have engaged in this behavior in <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/transgender-bathroom-law-utah-tip-line-943112e6ff6f5768caa0cd42403957a0?utm_campaign=TrueAnthem&#038;utm_medium=AP&#038;utm_source=Twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">other states<\/a> as well, targeting enforcement of laws preventing teachers from discussing explicit sexual information with students, for example.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/missouri-transgender-youth-health-care-attorney-general-84da1c977c44bba9907f13b2d3a7141f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tip line in Missouri<\/a> was set up for \u201cthose who have experienced harm from gender transition interventions or witnessed troubling practices at transition clinics in Missouri.\u201d The line had to be taken down after activists overwhelmed it with false reports, making it far more difficult for legitimate concerns of abuse and regulatory or ethical violations to be reported for investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Activists <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/transgender-bathroom-law-utah-tip-line-943112e6ff6f5768caa0cd42403957a0?utm_campaign=TrueAnthem&#038;utm_medium=AP&#038;utm_source=Twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">assert<\/a> that the Utah law and the online report form \u201cgive people license to question anyone\u2019s gender in community spaces, which \u2026 could even affect people who are not trans.\u201d No actual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oregon-middle-schoolers-allowed-to-skip-class-to-watch-transgender-show\/\" title=\"Oregon Middle Schoolers Allowed To Skip Class To Watch Transgender Show\">trans-identifying person<\/a> would be negatively affected by this reporting. The reporting form is to ensure government entities comply with enforcement rules, which require clearly designated male and female spaces as well as single occupancy spaces. When a crime is reported, entities must report it to law enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>Schools <a href=\"https:\/\/ut-sao-special-prod.web.app\/sex_basis_complaint2.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">must<\/a> \u201cprovide equal quality, opportunity, or availability and scheduling of facilities, programs, and events for both sexes.\u201d Failure to follow these guidelines may result in <a href=\"https:\/\/le.utah.gov\/xcode\/Title63G\/Chapter31\/63G-31-S401.1.html?v=C63G-31-S401.1_2024050120240501\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fines<\/a> if the investigation proves there are valid complaints. A trans-identifying person is not going to be arrested or dragged out of the restroom when a complaint is filed on the website.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-5f87d54741f1922a057f0606b9e9548e fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-5f87d54741f1922a057f0606b9e9548e\"><\/div>\n<p>In fact, the law really wouldn\u2019t negatively affect \u201ctransitioned\u201d individuals at all considering it is designed for reporting concerns around enforcement. As has been the concern since the beginning, conservatives want to make sure a woman can report an obvious man in the women\u2019s restroom as a threat. LGBT activists seem to want women who voice this legitimate concern publicly shamed as bigots and denied the option to report such abuses at all.<\/p>\n<p>Critics of laws that clearly define sex-segregated spaces <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/transgender-bathroom-laws-enforcement-e96e94b8935eb6bd23a42562cdeeec6c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">insist such laws<\/a> \u201cencourage harassment of trans adults at work and while they\u2019re shopping and eating out \u2014 and even harassment of cisgender people, or those whose gender identity matches the sex they were assigned at birth.\u201d Even when the law or policy is only applied in schools to ensure the safety of students.<\/p>\n<p>Kansas State Rep. Susan Ruiz, a Democrat and lesbian, argues, \u201cBy men, I get harassed for going into a women\u2019s restroom because people think that \u2014 the way I look, the way I dress, the way my hair is \u2014 that I\u2019m a man.\u201d She insists, \u201cThis is going to just open up the doors for that.\u201d But there is no evidence to support this complaint and, with activists filing mass protest complaints, no way to determine if any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/walsh-in-secretly-recorded-footage-pro-trans-doctor-makes-truly-insane-argument-for-amputating-teen-girls-breasts\/\" title=\"WALSH: In Secretly Recorded Footage, Pro-Trans Doctor Makes Truly Insane Argument For Amputating Teen Girls\u2019 Breasts\">trans-identifying people<\/a> are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/candace-owens-joins-whatever-podcast-slams-viral-tiktok-woman-who-bragged-about-being-childless-men-should-not-marry-her\/\" title=\"Candace Owens slams TikTok woman for bragging about being childless, advises against marrying her.\">facing negative consequences<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, we know that men are abusing these policies to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/04\/19\/trans-activists-prioritize-predators-over-the-safety-of-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">specifically target women and girls<\/a> for sexual harassment or lewd behavior, and spying on women and filming them. Left-wing activist groups like the ACLU of Utah <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/utah-transgender-bathroom-access-746d51175ad770623e6f403b426fdc8c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">declare<\/a>, \u201cThis bill perpetuates discrimination, needlessly imposes barriers to the everyday needs of people in Utah, and risks harmful and discriminatory enforcement against transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people.\u201d <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-5b4f0c5c96f710ba8dd98a0ced090606 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-5b4f0c5c96f710ba8dd98a0ced090606\"><\/div>\n<p>However, in practice, it is everyday women and girls who face the real consequences when predator men exploit transgender bathroom and changing room policies.<\/p>\n<p>LGBT activists have convinced students and transgender-identifying individuals they are being oppressed and targeted when common sense laws are put into place that protect them from predators. For example, <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/utah-transgender-bathroom-law-schools-e6090bf29be27b8120dd8b8ebaebcb45\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a fifth-grade<\/a> girl who identifies as \u201che\/they\u201d argued that even when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-democrats-call-for-gender-neutral-bathrooms-in-the-capitol\/\" title=\"Top Democrats Call For Gender-Neutral Bathrooms In The Capitol\">single-occupancy restrooms<\/a> are provided, it isn\u2019t good enough. She complained that such accommodations make her feel isolated. \u201cIt hurts me,\u201d the child said. \u201cI might be uncomfortable going into that restroom, so I want to go into a different one, but the law doesn\u2019t say that I can.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There is no reason for a fifth-grade girl to be in the boys\u2019 restroom unattended simply because she decided she feels more comfortable or wants some form of public validation. Her safety is at risk, and that is what it all comes down to. Transgender-identifying individuals are not being targeted, but these demands put women and girls, and the transgender-identifying individuals themselves, in very real danger.<\/p>\n<p>Thus these bullying techniques that attempt to shut down the enforcement of laws the left does not like put real people in harm\u2019s way. LGBT activists, but especially trans activists, are working to make the reporting of legitimate violations of laws protecting women and children nearly impossible because they imagine these laws somehow unfairly target them.<\/p>\n<p>They believe that if they don\u2019t like what a law says (or, typically, what they think it says), they can not only refuse to follow it but also prevent anyone else from following it.
