On Wednesday, she went into great detail about a sexual encounter Trump has said never happened.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Trump sought the right to set the record straight, but Judge Juan Merchan refused to relax his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-trump-sidesteps-judges-gag-order-reads-cnns-news-report-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gag order<\/a>, according to the U.K.\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/live\/2024\/may\/09\/donald-trump-trial-hush-money-stormy-daniels-testifies-latest-updates?CMP=share_btn_url&#038;page=with%3Ablock-663d314c8f080eca966ae627#block-663d314c8f080eca966ae627\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guardian<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u2026it was Stormy Daniels Day in Judge Merchan\u2019s courtroom this week, and it is a bit late for the court to express shock over her testimony. My concern is with protecting the integrity of these proceedings as a whole,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOther people will see you doing it,\u201d Merchan said, adding, \u201cOther witnesses, including not only Michael Cohen, other witnesses will see your client doing whatever it is he intends to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said he is muzzling Trump \u201cprecisely because of the nature of these attacks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe nature, the vitriol \u2026 your client\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jeffries-confronted-over-doubting-trump-was-legitimate-president\/\" title=\"Jeffries Confronted Over Doubting Trump Was Legitimate President\">track record speaks<\/a> for itself here.
