The interview underscored voter trust in Donald Trump on economic issues and concerns\u2062 about the economy under Biden&#8217;s leadership, including inflation spikes.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>CNN host Erin Burnett grilled President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/joe-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joe Biden<\/a> during an interview this week over his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fetterman-campaign-blames-captioning-system-for-disastrous-debate-tv-company-sets-record-straight\/\" title=\"Fetterman Campaign Blames Captioning System For Disastrous Debate, TV Company Sets Record Straight\">widely criticized performance<\/a> on economic matters in the U.S. just months before the 2024 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>Burnett noted in the interview that the economy was \u201cby far the most important issue for voters\u201d and that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republicans-need-high-turnout-elections\/\" title=\"Republicans benefit from increased voter turnout\">voters overwhelmingly favor<\/a> former President Donald Trump over Biden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe cost of buying a home in the United States is double what it was, when you look at your monthly costs, from before the pandemic. Real income, when you account for inflation, is actually down since you took office, economic growth last week far short of expectations,\u201d Burnett said. \u201cConsumer confidence, maybe no surprise, is near a two-year low. With less than six months to go to Election Day, are you worried that you\u2019re running out of time to turn that around?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden responded by claiming that he had already turned everything around, even though the areas that Burnett mentioned have all gotten worse under Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Burnett didn\u2019t even mention that Biden\u2019s American Rescue Plan triggered a massive spike in inflation \u2014 the highest level in four decades \u2014 that has hurt many families and businesses.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">CNN\u2019s Erin Burnett: It\u2019s also true right now, Mr. President, that voters by a wide margin, trust Trump more on the economy.
