Following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-k-education-secretary-prioritizing-emotional-safety-over-free-speech-is-dangerous\/\" title=\"U.K. Education Secretary: Prioritizing \u2018Emotional Safety\u2019 Over Free Speech Is \u2018Dangerous\u2019\">online threats<\/a>, the boy, Christian, had to leave \u2062his family&#8217;s home and attend homeschooling\u2063 elsewhere.\u2062 His\u2062 mother, Leah McGhee, expressed disappointment\u2063 in the school&#8217;s response, highlighting \u2064the impact on her son and the missed educational opportunity to promote accountability among students.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_78\">\n<p><strong>EXCLUSIVE \u2014<\/strong> The 16-year-old boy who was accused of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/racism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>racism<\/a> for asking about \u201cillegal aliens\u201d in his school was forced to leave his family\u2019s home due to concerns regarding online threats.<\/p>\n<p>Leah McGhee, a mother from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/north-carolina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>North Carolina<\/a>, says her son Christian was suspended from Central Davidson High School on April 9 when he asked his English teacher for clarification on the word \u201calien,\u201d during which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/2996847\/mother-student-suspended-saying-illegal-alien-sue-school-board\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>he used the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/conservatives-are-woefully-out-marketed-by-liberals-its-time-to-level-up\/\" title=\"Conservatives Are Woefully Out-Marketed By Liberals. It\u2019s Time to Level Up.\">term \u201cillegal alien<\/a>.\u201d<\/a> Since then, the family has received multiple threats online, prompting McGhee and her husband to remove their son from the school.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is staying with our family 45 minutes away, and he is enrolled in a homeschool there, which he is excelling at,\u201d McGhee told the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em>. \u201cSo yes, he is unable to live with us, which devastates me as a mother. I miss my child like you could not even imagine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McGhee added that her son greatly misses his friends and his old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>school<\/a> and that he was wrongly punished and put \u201cin danger\u201d due to how the school administrators \u201cwould not take accountability to the fact they were wrong.\u201d She also said administrators have missed an opportunity to teach students to correct themselves and take accountability when they are in the wrong.<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of her son being accused of racism, McGhee said she and her family have received an outpouring of support from former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a>, who wrote a letter of recommendation for her son.<\/p>\n<p>Trump had also invited the family to his rally in North Carolina, though McGhee clarified that they were unable to meet Trump himself, as the event was canceled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/2973315\/trump-postpones-north-carolina-rally\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>due to storms<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Other major politicians who have backed the McGhee family include North Carolina Lt. Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/mark-robinson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Mark Robinson<\/a> and state Sen. Carl Ford.<\/p>\n<p>The Liberty Justice Center <a href=\"https:\/\/libertyjusticecenter.org\/cases\/c-m-v-davidson-county-board-of-education\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>filed a lawsuit<\/a> on behalf of Christian McGhee against the Davidson County Board of Education on Tuesday over his suspension. The nonprofit litigation center is perhaps best known for representing Mark Janus in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/libertyjusticecenter.org\/cases\/janus-v-afscme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Janus v.
