They dismissed the appeal, indicating the appealability issue. The trial is set for June 3, with potential further appeal.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/news\/\">  News <\/a>   <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/russdavis\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/russdavis\/%20\"><span>Jack Davis<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   May 9, 2024 at 12:41pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>A three-judge panel on Thursday denied Hunter Biden\u2019s efforts to block a trial on charges that he lied on a federal form when he purchased a gun.<\/p>\n<p>The members of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit <a href=\"https:\/\/s3.documentcloud.org\/documents\/24656079\/24-1703_documents.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote that<\/a>, \u201cThis appeal is DISMISSED because the defendant has not shown the District Court\u2019s orders are appealable before final judgment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe defendant in this criminal case appealed three pretrial orders entered on April 12, 2024, denying his motions to dismiss the indictment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One part of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-crushes-hunter-bidens-claim-federal-gun-charge-politically-motivated-refuses-dismiss-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hunter Biden\u2019s arguments<\/a> was that his legal team had agreed to a deal last year that would make the gun charges go away. That deal was part of a larger deal that fell apart last summer, leading to new charges being filed.<\/p>\n<p>As noted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/05\/09\/us-news\/federal-court-rejects-hunter-bidens-appeal-on-gun-charges-sets-up-june-3-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>, the charges against Hunter Biden include two counts of making false statements and one count of firearm possession by an unlawful substance abuser.<\/p>\n<p>The order issued Thursday said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hunter-biden-attempts-get-federal-gun-charges-pointing-blame-trump-maga-allies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">last year\u2019s deal<\/a> does not prevent a trial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNon-prosecution agreements do not implicate a right not to be tried or any other right that can be collaterally appealed,\u201d the order read.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The odds are that Biden will pardon him and call the whole thing political.<\/p>\n<p>When Hunter goes to trial, it\u2019s a slam dunk that he gets convicted.
