The viral footage features \u200dthe impressive tracking abilities of \u2062a dog named Lincoln as it\u2062 locates a \u2064subject in a wooded area, emphasizing the vital role K-9 units play in search and rescue missions.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/news\/\">  News <\/a>   <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/johnathanjones\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/johnathanjones\/%20\"><span>Johnathan Jones<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   May 9, 2024 at 1:11pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>A Seattle organization that trains search and rescue dogs and also assists <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oregon-governor-encourages-people-to-call-police-on-neighbors-violating-covid-orders\/\" title=\"Oregon Governor Encourages People To Call Police On Neighbors Violating COVID Orders\">law enforcement agencies<\/a> in searches offered a unique perspective last week into how the dogs operate when they are put into service.<\/p>\n<p>A \u00a0video shared on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-thugs-mexicos-side-border-laugh-recording-national-guard-helicopter-crash-post-video-social-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social media<\/a> demonstrated how one dog in training that was being tracked by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gps-sends-dad-bridge-family-left-devastated-directions-fail-mention-one-thing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GPS<\/a> device located a person and alerted its handler to their presence in a search area of 34 acres.<\/p>\n<p>The non-profit organization King County Search Dogs posted the video to its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/famous-hollywood-director-working-film-lack-facebook-censorship-caused-jan-6\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a> page last week and it quickly went viral.<\/p>\n<p>KCSD shared a time-lapse video of a Google map that had a person designated as the search \u201csubject\u201d tucked away in a wooded area.<\/p>\n<p>A dog named Lincoln and his handler worked their way through the area until eventually the dog found who he was looking for and ended the search.<\/p>\n<p>Lincoln began the search at the southern tip of the highlighted area and made some interesting loops throughout the map.<\/p>\n<p>KCSD explained the loops were created to throw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/game-warden-k9-save-11-year-old-girl-77-year-old-woman-weekend\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the dog<\/a> off the scent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCircles are residual \u2018scent pool\u2019 distractions where people had been hiding earlier in the day. Thanks to Elisabeth who was very happy to see Lincoln after hiding in the cold drizzle!\u201d the group said of its missing subject.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Should all departments have K-9 units?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>In the video above, Lincoln eventually completed the job at hand in just over 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>After locating the \u201cmissing\u201d subject, the pup could be seen running back to his handler \u2014 who had been designated as H33 on the map \u2014 twice in apparent excitement.<\/p>\n<p>One Facebook user who came across KCSD\u2019s video commented, \u201cAmazing to be able to see this to put into perspective of how dog and human can work together for maximum effort and in good timing too!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The clip is so vivid another person commented, \u201cI can feel the excitement from K9 Lincoln when he finds the subject. \u2018I found her, I found her! Hurry up human, follow me!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is common knowledge that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/us-military-unleashes-dogs-war-iranian-backed-militant-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">man\u2019s best friend<\/a> is adept and finding items and people who might often prefer to remain undetected.<\/p>\n<p>They are also experts at finding people who are hopelessly lost.<\/p>\n<p>A dog\u2019s sense of smell and its instincts can be utilized with the proper training to find <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dem-governor-gets-backlash-report-shows-whopping-70-criminals-released-covid-reoffended\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">criminals<\/a>, drugs or people who go missing in inhospitable places such as dense forests.<\/p>\n<p>In the times we live in, law enforcement agencies so often utilize <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-israels-iron-dome-lights-dozens-iranian-drones-horrifying-attack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">drones<\/a>, helicopters and officers on the ground when looking for someone who could either be dangerous or in danger.<\/p>\n<p>As KCSD\u2019s clip shows, technology cannot yet replicate the efficiency, urgency and excitement of a well-trained and eager dog.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>We who work here at The Western Journal have fought for years against Big Tech and the elites who want to shut us down and then shut America down. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Make no mistake \u2014 nothing will be the same after November 2024.
