August Pfluger II, a retired military officer, in his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2024\/may\/8\/revoke-visas-of-pro-hamas-protesters\/\">opinion piece<\/a> in which he discussed the limits of free speech.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe First Amendment guarantees every American the right to free speech, but no one has the right to destroy private property, trespass illegally, or attack innocent people,\u201d Rubio and Pfluger wrote. \u201cThis is why college administrators are justified in disbanding anti-Israel protests-turned-riots by force. We can and should, however, go one step further: we should deport the non-Americans who have participated in these riots.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cExisting law already prohibits any foreigner who \u2018endorses or espouses terrorist activity\u2019 from entering the country,\u201d they noted, adding, \u201cWhy would any sane government allow terrorist sympathizers into the country it\u2019s elected to protect? After all, there is no universal right to come to America, and that privilege should certainly not be extended to those who desire the overthrow of our entire system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cNor do visitors have the right to stay in America if they violate the terms of their visas,\u201d they continued. \u201cFar from it, the U.S. government can and should remove such visitors. The law is clear on this point, as the U.S. Department of State confirmed last year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">They slammed the Biden administration, writing, \u201cUnfortunately, the Biden administration won\u2019t act. Whether that is out of fear of litigation, political backlash, or both, it doesn\u2019t matter: The government has an obligation to protect us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAs lawmakers, we cannot force the president\u2019s hand on this, but we can remove any <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/key-figure-in-jan-6-events-backs-claims-that-cheney-january-6-committee-are-lying\/\" title=\"Key Figure in Jan. 6 Events Backs Claims That Cheney, January 6 Committee Are Lying\">legal ambiguity surrounding<\/a> the question of deportation,\u201d they stated. \u201cOur bicameral Terrorist Inadmissibility Codification Act would do just that, explicitly revoking the visas of foreign visitors who support Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Palestine Islamic Jihad, or any related group. This measure deserves bipartisan approval. No one, Republican or Democrat, should want to privilege people who celebrate indiscriminate violence against the United States and its allies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Noting that \u201cprogressive Democrats in Congress have blocked the legislation\u2019s passage,\u201d the authors point out, \u201cToday, a majority of Democrats oppose Israel\u2019s actions in Gaza. A smaller but incredibly active portion of the party supports Hamas and its backers in Tehran, in spite of or even because of their unprovoked slaughter, rape, and kidnapping of hundreds of innocent civilians, including more than 40 Americans, on Oct. 7, 2023. These fanatics are instructing activists and students to chant \u2018Death to America\u2019 and \u2018Burn Tel Aviv to the Ground.\u2019 They\u2019re also pressuring U.S. policymakers to be derelict in their duty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1700760801843000&#038;usg=AOvVaw2PQrVSrJfhxNb4LcARqniG\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe more we cave to the pro-Hamas movement\u2019s implicit or explicit threats, the more its power and influence will expand,\u201d they state. \u201cIn contrast, empowering the U.S. government to deport foreign pro-Hamas and anti-American protesters would send a clear message that far-left bullies remain subject to the law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The authors cite Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray declaring that the war in Gaza has brought the danger of terrorism in the United States to a \u201cwhole other level.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAt such a moment, we must remember that our number-one responsibility is to protect American lives from harm. We have no responsibility whatsoever to let terrorist supporters live inside our borders,\u201d they state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cLaws are being broken. The public peace is under siege. Worst of all, Americans are being made to fear for their lives and livelihoods just for being Jewish. We should have never allowed things to reach this point.
