The legislation imposes fines of up to $10,000 on schools that do not uphold \u200bthe prohibition of transgender individuals using bathrooms of the opposite sex.\u200b Activists are promoting fake reports \u200donline and \u2062encouraging additional submissions.\u2064 This law defines gender based on\u200b biological criteria,\u200c not identity.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Transgender activists have called in thousands of hoax reports to a Utah tip line in an attempt to hamper enforcement of the state\u2019s new bathroom law.<\/p>\n<p>The online tip line has received more than 10,000 submissions in the one week it has been up and running, and none of the complaints appear legitimate, <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/transgender-bathroom-law-utah-tip-line-943112e6ff6f5768caa0cd42403957a0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> Utah Auditor John Dougall.<\/p>\n<p>The tip line\u2019s form asks people to report public school employees who knowingly allow someone to use the bathroom of the opposite sex.<\/p>\n<p>Utah\u2019s new law, which the governor signed in January, prohibits trans-identifying people from using the bathroom of the opposite sex in government buildings like public schools. Schools and government agencies that fail to enforce the new rules can be fined up to $10,000 per day for each violation.<\/p>\n<p>The bill also establishes that the state\u2019s legal definition of \u201cmale\u201d and \u201cfemale\u201d is based on their reproductive systems rather than their gender identity.<\/p>\n<p>Since Wednesday when the tip line was first launched, transgender activists have posted it all over social media. They have also posted examples of the fake reports they submitted and encouraged others to flood the tip line.<\/p>\n<p>One of the activists, Erin Reed, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-type-of-misogyny-trans-women-fetishizing-periods-is-a-slippery-slope\/\" title=\"\u2018New Type Of Misogyny\u2019: Trans Women Fetishizing Periods Is A Slippery Slope\">trans-identifying man<\/a>, explained the hoax strategy to the Associated Press.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be people who are trans that go into bathrooms that are potentially reported by these sorts of forms, and so the community is taking on a protective role,\u201d Reed said. \u201cIf there are 4,000, 5,000, 6,000 form responses that are entered in, it\u2019s going to be much harder for the auditor\u2019s office to sift through every one of them and find the one legitimate trans person who was caught using a bathroom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The law\u2019s main sponsor, Republican state Representative Kera Birkeland, stood by the tip line in the wake of the activists\u2019 coordinated attack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not surprising that activists are taking the time to send false reports,\u201d Birkeland <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/transgender-bathroom-law-utah-tip-line-943112e6ff6f5768caa0cd42403957a0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>. \u201cBut that isn\u2019t a distraction from the importance of the legislation and the protection it provides women across Utah.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1715184052205000&#038;usg=AOvVaw30mpznqHO0I3crFOdodkQW\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Schools have come under particular scrutiny in recent years for allowing trans-identifying male students to use the girls\u2019 bathroom and locker rooms.
