The Biden campaign initiates a $14 million ad blitz in\u200c crucial battleground states, focusing on diverse\u2063 voters.\u2062 This strategic approach leverages the campaign&#8217;s\u2062 fundraising edge over\u200d Trump.\u2062 With \u200btargeted ads and community engagement, the goal is \u200dvictory in November.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Joe Biden<\/a>\u2018s reelection <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/section\/campaigns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>campaign<\/a> announced a $14 million ad blitz on Wednesday targeting the handful of battleground states that will decide the November <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/2024-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>election<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Part of the multimillion-dollar ad buy includes a seven-figure investment that will go toward reaching black, Latino, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander voters.<\/p>\n<p>The effort is another parcel of the Biden campaign\u2019s increased aggressive tactics to reach voters as it hammers its fundraising advantage over former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s campaign and the Republican National Committee. <\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/election-2024\/?utm_source=homepage&#038;utm_medium=banner&#038;utm_campaign=iowa_caucus&#038;utm_id=election2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ELECTION 2024: FOLLOW LATEST COVERAGE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe kicked off the election year with a historic show of our grassroots strength, raised more than $187 million in the first quarter, breaking grassroots fundraising records month over month over month,\u201d Biden communications director Michael Tyler said in a press call with reporters. \u201cAll that is to say we have a historic cash on hand that quite literally trumps our opponents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis fundraising advantage is allowing us to kick our campaign into high gear early. Making the investments today that will lead us to victory in November, leaving the Trump team with little time to catch up,\u201d Tyler added.<\/p>\n<p>Biden and the Democratic National Committee\u2019s war chest, with $192 million cash on hand in March, is more than doubled what Trump and the RNC\u2019s $93.1 million reserves, although Trump\u2019s campaign told donors at a GOP retreat over the weekend it expects to raise <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/2992542\/ritzy-donor-retreat-rallies-trump-effort-catch-biden-fundraising\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>more than $76 million<\/a>, with more than half coming from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-crowd-cheers-as-desantis-torches-democrat-challenger\/\" title=\"WATCH: Crowd Cheers As DeSantis Torches Democrat Challenger\">small-dollar donors<\/a>, in April. <\/p>\n<p>The Biden campaign also released a new 30-second ad, \u201cTerminate\u201d attacking Trump\u2019s attempts to over the Affordable Care Act and Biden\u2019s efforts to protect healthcare as part of the $14 million investment.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<div>\n<p data-video_id=\"gOcQKc5xDQs\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Terminate | Biden-Harris 2024\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gOcQKc5xDQs?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The campaign targets ad placement during nontraditional opportunities such as major sports events and highly popular shows such as \u201cAbbott Elementary.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Wednesday\u2019s announcement of the ad blitz is part of the next phase of the Biden campaign\u2019s election strategy, including scaling its small business program in the battleground states, ramping up surrogate travel, and increasing Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris\u2019s communication with minority communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince March, our campaign has already held hundreds of organizing events online and in battleground states to mobilize a diverse base of the Democratic Party,\u201d principal deputy campaign manager Quentin Fulks said. \u201cMany of these events have and will continue to focus on healthcare while Donald Trump is trying to rip away health insurance from millions of Americans, President Biden is lowering drug costs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Battleground states director Dan Kanninen, Fulks, and Tyler repeatedly blasted Trump for having little to no presence in the key states that will decide the next election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDoing this community building takes time, and unfortunately for the Trump campaign, time is running out. The Trump campaign still has virtually no presence in most of the battleground states,\u201d Kanninen said. \u201cIf they decide to do any organizing work at all, they will almost certainly be forced to rely on expensive and last-minute tactics. with folks who have never set foot in the communities in which they\u2019re knocking doors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The May effort comes after the Biden campaign announced a $30 million six-week paid media campaign in March, the same month Biden and Trump clinched their presidential nominations. <\/p>\n<p>During the press call, campaign officials dismissed claims from the Trump campaign over the weekend that blue-leaning states Virginia and Minnesota are in play for the GOP.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLooking at what the Trump campaign has done here is they\u2019ve got the best poll they could buy,\u201d Kanninen said. \u201cAnd candidly, we don\u2019t see polls that are six or seven months out from the general election, a head-to-head number, certainly as any more predictive than a weather report is six, seven months out before election.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe feel strongly the Biden-Harris coalition in both Minnesota and Virginia, which has been strong in the midterms and off-year elections, will continue to be strong for us,\u201d Kanninen added.<\/p>\n<p>On the $76 million Trump and the RNC said they raised in April, Tyler remained skeptical.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll see where that money actually came from and how much they raised when they file the report,\u201d he said. \u201cThe Trump team doesn\u2019t exactly have a well-established relationship with the truth first and foremost.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Monthly Federal Election Commission reports are not due until later this month, but the Trump campaign told the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> on Monday it was seizing the momentum in higher fundraising totals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe momentum has long been on the side of President Trump, as evidenced by not only his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ritzy-vp-donor-retreat-rallies-trump-effort-to-catch-biden-in-fundraising-race\/\" title=\"Exclusive Donor Event Boosts Trump's Fundraising to Match Biden\">record-shattering fundraising numbers<\/a> but polling that shows him dominating in swing states across the country.
