Smith criticizes Democrats for Trump trials: 'Afraid they can't defeat him.\">ongoing hush money trial<\/a> that the jury didn\u2019t need to hear quite so much from one of their star witnesses, former porn star Stormy Daniels.<\/p>\n<p>The judge, after telling Daniels several times to slow down, finally told the prosecution that the level of detail she was giving \u2014 about things like what floor of the hotel a specific room was on or what was in Donald Trump\u2019s toiletry bag \u2013 was excessive and unnecessary for the purposes of the trial at hand.<\/p>\n<p>HuffPost\u2019s Sara Boboltz shared a series of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/donald-trump-hush-money-trial-week-4-live-updates_n_663544dae4b0fc2b95297591\/liveblog_663a4e09e4b0f72991a7cd4f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">courtroom updates<\/a> on Tuesday after Daniels took the stand, noting that the former adult film star\u2019s demeanor on the stand had been \u201cbubbly and light.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018He was very interested in a lot of the business aspects of [pornography], which I thought was very cool,\u2019 Daniels testified. Trump asked about things like residuals, unions and STD testing. (Tests are mandated every 14 days, Daniels said.) She volunteered the information about her test history, saying she had never \u2018tested positive for anything,&#8217;\u201d Boboltz wrote. \u201cShe has been asked multiple times to slow down in her testimony.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the court\u2019s lunch break, Daniels recounted in detail an alleged meeting with Trump in a hotel room \u2014 and when the jury was seated after the break was over, Merchan told the prosecution to dial back the unnecessary details.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-president-trump-gives-pardons-to-73-individuals-and-commutes-another-70-sentences-steve-bannon-is-included\/\" title=\"BREAKING: President Trump Gives Pardons to 73 Individuals and Commutes Another 70 Sentences \u2013 Steve Bannon Is Included\">judge told prosecutors<\/a> that the level of detail Daniels had been going into was too much, saying we did not need to know about the floor of Trump\u2019s hotel room, for example.
