Swatting is an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/left-wing-group-bribes-abortion-radicals-with-stipends-for-participating-in-intimidation-protests-at-justices-homes\/\" title=\"Left-Wing Group Bribes Abortion Radicals With Stipends For Participating In Intimidation Protests At Justices\u2019 Homes\">increasingly popular tactic<\/a> of filing a false report with the intention of triggering a \u201cpotentially dangerous response\u201d from law enforcement. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI f\u2014ed up really bad,\u201d Jamal wrote. \u201cPlease help me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Greenwich police were already outside of Pecker\u2019s home as a precaution due to his involvement in the high-profile case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA check \u2026 revealed no emergency,\u201d said the report, which <em>Reuters<\/em> obtained through a records request. \u201cThe email was likely a swatting by proxy attempt.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Officials from both sides of the aisle have fallen victim to swatting in recent months. Reps. Brandon Williams (R-NY)\u00a0and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) both had their homes swatted on Christmas in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur home was swatted this afternoon,\u201d Williams<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepWilliams\/status\/1739420034248622340\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title> posted on X<\/a>. \u201cThanks to the Deputies and Troopers who contacted me before arriving.
