He had only one word in response to Clark\u2019s stellar performance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRespect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a video posted to his X account, Brown was seen in the stands watching as Clark walked into the locker room after the game. His previous comments were a completely unjustified attempt to tear down the new face of the WNBA for seemingly no reason.<\/p>\n<p>But after watching her play, even Brown couldn\u2019t deny Clark\u2019s talent. He even said that Clark\u2019s team, the Indiana Fever, gained a new fan because of her performance.<\/p>\n<p>While the sting of his previous comments may remain, at least Brown had the decency to respect Clark instead of continuing to attack her.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also remarkable that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-country-star-shows-love-caitlin-clark-concert-makes-crowd-roar-seeing-honors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clark<\/a>, still just 22 years-old, had the maturity to refrain from engaging with Brown \u2014 instead letting her game do the talking.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s hasn\u2019t let the pressure of becoming the WNBA\u2019s brightest star get to her, as her debut performance showed.<\/p>\n<p>Brown\u2019s turnaround shows the effect that Clark is having on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/wnba-star-said-reality-coming-caitlin-clark-record-shattered-draft-night\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WNBA<\/a>.
