Additionally, public trust in Federal Reserve\u200b Chairman \u200cJerome Powell is under question.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>People feeling the pain of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/bidenomics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Bidenomics<\/a>\u201d are now putting the hurt on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>President Joe Biden<\/a> and his economic team.<\/p>\n<p>In its latest economic survey released early Monday, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/644750\/confidence-biden-economic-stewardship-historically-low.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Gallup<\/a> said confidence in Biden\u2019s \u201cstewardship\u201d of the economy is \u201chistorically low.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Confidence in a president running for reelection to fix the economy is the lowest under Biden since Gallup first tracked the metric, according to the pollster.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith Americans less optimistic about the state of the U.S. economy than they have been in recent months and concern about inflation persisting, their confidence in President Joe Biden to recommend or do the right thing for the economy is among the lowest Gallup has measured for any president since 2001,\u201d the pollster said Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s not just Biden. Confidence in Federal Reserve Chairman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/jerome-powell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Jerome Powell<\/a> is also the worst recorded, and it\u2019s no better for congressional leaders. And while more people have greater faith that former President Donald Trump would be a better economic steward, he is also underwater.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cBiden is not alone in facing a skeptical public, as Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, the Republican and Democratic leaders in Congress, and presumptive presidential nominee Republican Donald Trump garner confidence ratings below 50%,\u201d Gallup said.<\/p>\n<p>But confidence in Biden is a lot lower than in Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cForty-six percent of U.S. adults say they have \u2018a great deal\u2019 or \u2018a fair amount\u2019 of confidence in Trump to do or recommend the right thing for the economy, while fewer say the same of Biden (38%), Powell (39%), and Democratic (38%) and Republican (36%) leaders in Congress,\u201d Gallup said.<\/p>\n<p>Until recently, Biden has campaigned with huge posters reading \u201cBidenomics\u201d and claimed that things have never been better. However, people have told pollsters for months that they believe Bidenomics represents higher prices, lower wages, and a much worse standard of living.
