UCLA&#8217;s statement\u2063 can be found [here](https:\/\/bso.ucla.edu\/news\/campus-activity-updates-may-5th).  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>School officials from the University of California, Los Angeles, notified students that in-person classes will resume on Monday. <\/p>\n<p>The announcement comes after a tumultuous week of violence in the wake of anti-Israel protests on campus that caused the school to move classes online, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/world-news\/ucla-classes-back-offline-amid-ease-of-campus-protests-5599899\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to multiple reports.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe campus will return to regular operations tomorrow, Monday 5\/6, and plans to remain this way through the rest of the week,\u201d <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bso.ucla.edu\/news\/campus-activity-updates-may-5th\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">UCLA announced in a released statement<\/a>. \u201cPer updated Academic Senate guidance on instruction, faculty are encouraged to resume in-person instruction as soon as possible, but may continue to conduct courses remotely at their discretion through next Friday, May 10, without the need for departmental authorization. Students will hear from instructors directly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Violent clashes between protesters, counterprotesters, and police officers happened <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/education\/2988090\/police-storm-ucla-encampment-long-standoff\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">on multiple occasions last week<\/a>.
