The\u200c New York \u2064Times and Washington Post received audio recordings of \u200chis comments, where Trump criticized\u2064 Democrats for\u2063 what he called a &#8220;Gestapo \u2062administration,&#8221; insinuating legal maneuvers aimed at \u200dimpeding his White House bid.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>Former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a> compared the Biden administration and its allies to the Nazi regime\u2019s secret police while speaking to donors at a private event at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida over the weekend, where he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/trump-surrounds-himself-with-potential-vps-at-mar-a-lago\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">appeared<\/a> on stage with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/former-state-prosecutor-ayala-seeking-demings-seat\/\" title=\"Former State Prosecutor Ayala Seeking Demings' Seat\">potential running mates<\/a> and other supporters.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times and Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/05\/04\/us\/politics\/trump-donors.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2024\/05\/04\/trump-indictments-attacks-democrats-gestapo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">obtained<\/a> audio of the remarks in which Trump claimed the Democrats, led by President Joe Biden, are coordinating the various federal and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-campaign-denies-departure-of-attorney-evan-corcoran\/\" title=\"Trump campaign refutes attorney Evan Corcoran's departure\">state-level indictments<\/a> he is fighting against while running another campaign for the White House in this year\u2019s election.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese people are running a Gestapo administration,\u201d Trump said. \u201cAnd it\u2019s the only thing they have. And it\u2019s the only way they\u2019re going to win, in their opinion, and it\u2019s actually killing them. But it doesn\u2019t bother me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump is on trial in a 2016 election \u201chush-money\u201d case in New York brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. He also faces charges in a 2020 election case based in Georgia spearheaded by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, a 2020 election case and a classified documents case led by special counsel Jack Smith.<\/p>\n<p>In the criminal matters, as well as in civil litigation regarding his business and personal affairs, Trump has denied any wrongdoing.
