He intends to release a total \u2063of six singles, staying true to \u200bhis mission and The \u2063Daily \u200cWire&#8217;s principles.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>David Cone, a co-host of The Daily Wire\u2019s sports podcast \u201cCrain &#038; Co.,\u201d dropped his first country single this week with his song about \u201cblue jeans\u201d and \u201crock and roll\u201d in \u201cJust What America Needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the Daily Wire host announced his new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ny-photographer-challenges-state-sexual-orientation-and-gender-law-that-stifles-her-artistic-freedom\/\" title=\"NY Photographer Challenges State Sexual Orientation And Gender Law That Stifles Her Artistic Freedom\">country song<\/a>, which he worked on with Nashville legend Kent Wells, Dolly Parton\u2019s long-time producer. \u201cJust What American Needs\u201d is the first of six singles Cone will be releasing in the next few months. Cone said that Wells, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/clients-staffers-slam-hollywood-metoo-group-times-up-over-involvement-with-cuomo\/\" title=\"Clients, Staffers Slam Hollywood MeToo Group \u2018Time\u2019s Up\u2019 Over Involvement with Cuomo\">legendary music producer<\/a> who is coming off a hugely successful album release in Dolly Parton\u2019s \u201cRockstar,\u201d was impressed by what he heard in the \u201cCrain &#038; Co.\u201d hosts new songs.<\/p>\n<p>Cone revealed the song <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/davidadamcone\/status\/1786388786462511475\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a post on X<\/a>, which showcased him rocking out to lyrics about finding a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/i-am-100-suing-cardi-candace-owens-blasts-cardi-b-after-rapper-posts-doctored-tweet-false-claims\/\" title=\"\u2018I Am 100% Suing Cardi\u2019: Candace Owens Blasts Cardi B After Rapper Posts Doctored Tweet, False Claims\">good woman<\/a> that he loves who is \u201cJust What America Needs.\u201d Cone said the song \u201cintersects with the missional statement of what I want to do in my life now, and with the company I work for with The Daily Wire.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u2018Just What America Needs\u2019 | Available NOW <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/JustWhatAmericaNeeds?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#JustWhatAmericaNeeds<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/nypHLriNTj\">pic.twitter.com\/nypHLriNTj<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 David Cone (@davidadamcone) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/davidadamcone\/status\/1786388786462511475?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 3, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI thought now that I have a platform with this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mlb-to-union-monday-deadline-for-deal-or-no-162-game-season\/\" title=\"MLB to Union: Monday Deadline for Deal or No 162-Game Season\">sports show<\/a>, \u2018Crain &#038; Co.\u2019 and the aftermath of our movie \u2018Lady Ballers,\u2019 now would be the best time to release new music, especially music that is patriotic,\u201d he added. \u201c\u2018Just What America Needs\u2019 seemed like the no-brainer song for me to start with.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cone said his other five singles will be released over the next few months \u2014 one of which is another patriotic song titled \u201cAmerican Made,\u201d which Cone hopes to release around the Fourth of July.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Cone will release \u201cFlavors of Kentucky,\u201d \u201cSouthward Bound,\u201d \u201cDie in Alabama,\u201d and \u201cThompson\u2019s Station Train.\u201d The Daily Wire host taught himself how to play the guitar as a senior at the University of Michigan before he started writing music and playing at venues in Atlanta and Nashville.<\/p>\n<p>One powerful line in \u201cJust What America Needs\u201d features Cone singing about how a woman \u201cproudly raised in the USA\u201d likes \u201csocial living, not socialism\u201d and suggests that with \u201cfew more like her, this country would be okay.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The chorus praises the woman because she, \u201clikes blue jeans and rock and roll, raised up right, loving country roads. \u2018Free Bird\u2019 on the radio, she\u2019s just what America needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the song, the \u201cCrain &#038; Co.\u201d host notes that he used to sit and complain \u201cabout how there was no use of dating any of these girls today,\u201d until he heard this one woman \u201csinging God bless the USA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Just What America Needs\u2019 is as close to me being the actual protagonist as possible. And the woman who he\u2019s loving in the song is as close to being my wife as possible,\u201d Cone said.<\/p>\n<p>Cone revealed that the final hurdle to clear in \u201cJust What America Needs\u201d came at \u201cthe last turnaround verse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI came up with the line, \u2018But she ain\u2019t perfect, she loves pizza cold,\u2019 and when I wrote that line I thought it\u2019s now been elevated, and now the song can be complete,\u201d Cone said. \u201cBefore that I think it opened itself up to criticism that it was just a cliche patriotic song, but that last part there [shows] I\u2019m not holding people who are just what America needs to a perfect standard because this girl isn\u2019t either. She eats her pizza cold.
