RNC Chair \u2064Michael \u2064Whatley stated that the ballot deadline violates federal law, impacting election \u2063integrity. The suit names Democratic\u2062 Secretary of State Francisco\u2063 Aguilar \u2063and county officials in Washoe and Clark County.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Republican National Committee alongside the Trump presidential campaign filed a lawsuit on Friday against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/nevada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nevada<\/a> for allowing mail-in ballots that arrive up to four days after Election Day to be counted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/prod-static.gop.com\/media\/documents\/NV_Election_Day_Complaint_filed_05.03.20243_1714757420.pdf?_gl=1*ngtvz6*_gcl_au*NzcyMzM4ODUxLjE3MTQ3NjY3MTA.&#038;_ga=2.197772207.1005609544.1714766711-708067852.1714766710\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">suit<\/a>, also joined by the Nevada Republican Party, is challenging a Nevada law that says mail-in ballots can be counted if they are postmarked before the end of the day on Election Day and arrive up to four days after the election. According to the suit, this law violates federal election law and disproportionately harms Republicans. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cNevada\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republicans-democrats-h-r-1-is-a-power-grab-would-undermine-states-election-rules\/\" title=\"Republicans: Democrats\u2019 H.R. 1 Is a Power Grab, Would Undermine States\u2019 Election Rules\">ballot receipt deadline<\/a> clearly violates federal law and undermines election integrity in the state. Ballots received days after Election Day should not be counted \u2014 the RNC and our partners are suing to secure an honest election, support Nevada voters, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-and-rnc-sue-nevada-over-mail-ballot-deadline-clearly-violates-federal-law\/\" title=\"Trump and RNC file lawsuit against Nevada for mail ballot deadline, citing federal law violation\">oppose unlawful schemes<\/a>,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/gop.com\/press-release\/rnc-trump-campaign-and-nvgop-files-ballot-deadline-election-integrity-lawsuit-in-nevada\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> RNC Chair Michael Whatley. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Nevada, the suit names Democratic Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar and the county clerks and registers of Washoe and Clark County. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One issue raised in the lawsuit is the provision of Nevada law that allows ballots with illegible postmarks to be counted.
