Lara Bollinger, a Navy public information officer, said that \u201c[b]oth LCACs involved remained afloat after the incident, and have since returned to their respective ships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bollinger added that the collision \u201cremains under investigation\u201d and noted that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/florida-republicans-reach-us-navy-haitis-threat-us-becomes-impossible-ignore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Navy<\/a> will provide more information when it is available.<\/p>\n<p>She said that all 30 injured personnel received medical care. \u201cMost injuries were considered minor, and those personnel returned to full duty,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Five of the 30 servicemembers <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/sentdefender\/status\/1786471687040516529\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reportedly<\/a> required advanced medical care and were airlifted to Savannah Memorial University Medical Center in Southern Georgia, with most having been released.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">30 U.S. Navy Sailors from the USS Wasp (LHD-1) and USS New York (LPD-21) as well as Marines with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit were Injured on Wednesday, following an Incident off the Coast of Jacksonville, Florida which involved the Collision of 2 Landing Craft Air Cushions\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/IttWXbOsI9\">pic.twitter.com\/IttWXbOsI9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 OSINTdefender (@sentdefender) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sentdefender\/status\/1786471687040516529?\">May 3, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>  Bollinger said that \u201c[o]f the five Sailors who were medically evacuated, one remains under medical care at a hospital in Savannah, Georgia. The others were treated and released to return to duty.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Did you serve in the military?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cOur primary focus is on our Sailor\u2019s health and well-being,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>The vessels are currently at sea as part of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group \/ Marine Expeditionary Unit 24 composite training unit exercise.<\/p>\n<p>The Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) is a high-speed, over-the-beach, amphibious landing hovercraft that is built to carry a payload of up to 75 tons, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.navy.mil\/Resources\/Fact-Files\/Display-FactFiles\/Article\/2170004\/landing-craft-air-cushion-lcac\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Navy website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They are used to transport the weapons systems, equipment, cargo and personnel from ship to shore and across the beach.<\/p>\n<p>LCAC can carry even heavy equipment such as M-1 tanks at high speeds, which provides significant benefits, the Navy site reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAir cushion technology allows this vehicle to reach more than 70 percent of the world\u2019s coastline, while only about 15 percent of that coastline is accessible by conventional <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/counting-down-the-10-most-important-battles-in-us-military-history\/\" title=\"Counting Down The 10 Most Important Battles In US Military History\">landing craft<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>I heard a chilling comment the other day: \u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>That wasn\u2019t said by a conspiracy theorist or a doomsday prophet.
