We gave her a spray bottle full of water that was her monster spray,\u201d she said, noting that things got worse instead of better.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">A girl complained to her parents for months that there were monsters in her bedroom walls. It turned out that there was a hive of 60,000 bees. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/XwUir14Dsh\">pic.twitter.com\/XwUir14Dsh<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NEXTA (@nexta_tv) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nexta_tv\/status\/1785393685305119220?\">April 30, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Around the same time, they noted an unusual number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/thousands-massive-swarm-bees-ruins-bill-gates-time-tennis-match-forces-suspension\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bees<\/a> around their house in Charlotte, North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith a 100-year-old farmhouse, we have found any little thing that can happen. But this was beyond our expectations,\u201d Class said, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodmorningamerica.com\/family\/story\/monsters-toddlers-bedroom-turn-massive-beehive-109741808\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Good Morning America<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Have you ever had a bee infestation?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Beekeeper Curtis Collins was called in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI knew they were there. It\u2019s just a matter of where they were making their hive,\u201d he said. Collins used a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/its-the-deadliest-year-by-far-at-the-southern-border\/\" title=\"It's the \"Deadliest Year by Far\" at the Southern Border\">thermal imaging camera<\/a> to find what was between the walls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe that may be actually the first one that I\u2019ve done that was floor to ceiling,\u201d Collins said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt lit up like Christmas,\u201d Ashley Class said, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-us-canada-68924955\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt first, I thought it was a body,\u201d she said. \u201cI was like, \u2018What is that?\u2019 And he says he thinks it\u2019s a hive. He didn\u2019t even have his bee gear on yet, but he took a hammer and knocked into the wall. Bees came swarming out like a horror movie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were streams of bees, and the wall where he hit was oozing honey. But it looked like blood because it was really, really dark, running down my daughter\u2019s pink walls. It looked really strange,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen he opened it up, they were, I guess, just swarming around our room. We didn\u2019t even have time to get any of her stuff out of the room,\u201d she said, according to Good Morning America.<\/p>\n<p>Various reports have put the number of bees <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/huge-truck-carrying-bees-overturns-expert-warns-escaped-swarm-anywhere\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">removed<\/a> between 50,000 and 65,000. The removal is expected to continue for several weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Ashley Class said her toddler felt vindicated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe told her, \u2018We found the monsters, you were right.\u2019 Then we introduced her to the beekeeper and she was like, \u2018No, he\u2019s a monster hunter.\u2019 So she called him Mr. Monster Hunter for the rest of the day, which was awesome,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The repair cost of about $20,000 is also awesome, as is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/honey-collectors-bizarre-method-of-handling-bees-is-most-unsettling-thing-youll-see-in-weeks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cleanup<\/a> required for the die-off that took place after the queen bee was taken to a bee sanctuary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve had a couple of thousand that died because their queen is no longer here, so that\u2019s sad. We\u2019ve been leaving the window open, hoping the remaining ones fly out, but many will die without being able to smell the queen, as I understand,\u201d Ashley Class said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dSo we\u2019ve been cleaning up thousands of dead bees every single day, and I\u2019ve learned that bees can still sting you when they\u2019re dead. It\u2019s like a landmine, with thousands on the floor.
