This legal \u200baction is part of their efforts \u2064to ensure election integrity leading up to and during the\u2062 November \u200b5 election against President Joe\u200b Biden. RNC Chairman\u2062 Michael Whatley criticized Nevada&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republicans-democrats-h-r-1-is-a-power-grab-would-undermine-states-election-rules\/\" title=\"Republicans: Democrats\u2019 H.R. 1 Is a Power Grab, Would Undermine States\u2019 Election Rules\">ballot receipt deadline<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cdc-exposed-inflated-covid-deaths-by-1600-throughout-the-election-violated-multiple-federal-laws-peer-reviewed-study-findsstate-local-governments-must-act\/\" title=\"CDC Exposed: Inflated Covid Deaths By 1600% Throughout The Election, \u201cViolated Multiple Federal Laws\u201d Peer-Reviewed Study Finds\u2026State, Local Governments Must Act\">violating federal law<\/a> and undermining election integrity.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/rnc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Republican National Committee<\/a>, former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s campaign, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/nevada\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Nevada<\/a> Republican Party announced a <a href=\"https:\/\/prod-static.gop.com\/media\/documents\/NV_Election_Day_Complaint_filed_05.03.20243_1714757420.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>lawsuit<\/a> on Friday suing the Silver State over its allowance of mail ballots four days after Election Day.<\/p>\n<p>The move is part of the RNC and Trump campaign\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/soros-helps-spreadhead-anti-election-integrity-efforts-ahead-of-midterms\/\" title=\"Soros Helps Spreadhead Anti-Election Integrity Efforts Ahead of Midterms\">election integrity efforts ahead<\/a> of and through the Nov. 5 election against President Joe Biden. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNevada\u2019s ballot receipt deadline clearly violates federal law and undermines election integrity in the state,\u201d RNC Chairman Michael Whatley said in a statement. \u201cBallots received days after Election Day should not be counted \u2014 the RNC and our partners are suing to secure an honest election, support Nevada voters, and oppose unlawful schemes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The defendants in the case are Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar, Washoe County Clerk Jan Galassini, Washoe County Registrar Cari-Ann Burgess, Clark County Registrar Lorena Portillo, and Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya.<\/p>\n<p>Nevada law stipulates mail ballots are mailed and postmarked by Election Day but then offers a four-day grace period. <\/p>\n<p>The RNC alleges that the acceptance of mail ballots after Election Day \u201cundermines the integrity\u201d of the election and violates federal law by extending the election past Nov. 5.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe result of Nevada\u2019s violation of federal law is that timely, valid ballots are diluted by untimely, invalid ballots, which violates the rights of candidates, campaigns, and voters under federal law,\u201d the suit claimed. <\/p>\n<p>The Silver State adopted the all-mail voting system in 2021, largely due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Republicans in the state objected to the change at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Aguilar pushed back against the allegations that Nevada mail ballot rules violate federal law in a statement to the <em>Washington Examine<\/em>r.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNevada runs some of the most secure, transparent, and accessible elections in the country,\u201d Aguilar said. \u201cThe key for that accessibility is allowing working Nevadans to vote using the method that works best for them, including voting by mail.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur office will not comment on ongoing litigation, but I hope the RNC is putting as much time and energy into educating voters on how to participate in elections as they put into suing the state of Nevada,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Trump lost Nevada in the 2020 election to Biden and in 2016 to Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. <\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A win in the Silver State in November would help Trump defeat Biden in their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/spoiler-alert-rfk-jr-embraces-the-chaos-has-democrats-paranoid-hell-cost-biden\/\" title=\"Warning: RFK Jr. causes concern among Democrats as he embraces unpredictability, potentially impacting Biden\">presidential election rematch<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>There are at least 83 fair election lawsuits in 25 states the RNC is actively engaged in.
