It\u2019s against the law when violence occurs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDestroying property is not a peaceful protest. It\u2019s against the law,\u201d he continued. \u201cVandalism, trespassing, breaking windows, shutting down campuses, forcing the cancellation of classes and graduations, none of this is a peaceful protest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThreatening people, intimidating people, instilling fear in people, is not a peaceful protest. It\u2019s against the law,\u201d Biden added. \u201cDissent is essential to democracy, but dissent must never lead to disorder or to deny the rights of others, so students can finish the semester and their college education. Look, it\u2019s basically a matter of fairness. It\u2019s a matter of what\u2019s right.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Throughout his remarks, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-approves-executive-order-for-sanctions-on-myanmar-officials-in-response-to-military-coup\/\" title=\"Biden Approves Executive Order For Sanctions On Myanmar Officials In Response To Military Coup\">president continued<\/a> to play both sides of the issue \u2014 and while he did generically call out those who had engaged in threats, vandalism, and violence, he did not connect those actions to the anti-Israel sentiment that has fueled the majority of the current protests. Instead, he once again stated his opposition to hate of any variety \u2013 giving \u201cequal weight to anti-Semitism and Islamophobia\u201d in the process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere should be no place on any campus, no place in America for anti-Semitism or threats of violence against Jewish students. There is no place for hate speech or violence of any kind, whether it\u2019s anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, or discrimination against Arab Americans, or Palestinian Americans!\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s simply wrong. There\u2019s no place for racism in America. It\u2019s all wrong.
