In more ways than one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The actress played Adriana on the mob TV classic \u201cThe Sopranos\u201d and her iconic character was one of many who didn\u2019t live to be featured in the final episodes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">More importantly, she\u2019s worked for two-plus decades in Hollywood. If you go against the Hollywood orthodoxy, however, you could lose work. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Said orthodoxy is progressive to the core.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_732127\" style=\"width: 394px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-732127\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hollywood To You\/Star Max\/GC Images<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Hollywood Blacklist 2.0 is very real. Just ask stars like Kevin Sorbo, Antonio Sabato, Jr., and Tim Allen. They\u2019ve all experienced various levels of cancellation for embracing a Right-leaning worldview.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Superstar podcaster Joe Rogan is one of the few industry types to acknowledge that truth. He shared some <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodintoto.com\/joe-rogan-blacklist-conservatives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">behind-the-scenes<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  reflections on his signature podcast in February.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThere\u2019s a certain ideology that\u2019s attached to that city, and it\u2019s not logical. It\u2019s a kooky, wacky, completely insulated left-wing view of the world, and they enforce it with an iron fist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAnd if you\u2019re not on that team you don\u2019t get booked for things. You don\u2019t get picked for things. If you\u2019re someone who has conservative leanings there\u2019s projects you\u2019re never gonna get. You\u2019re never gonna be involved \u2026 they\u2019ll malign you without knowing you at all, [and are] openly prejudiced about you. So no one does it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">De Matteo recently told Donald Trump Jr.\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/sopranos-actress-says-people-in-hollywood-are-too-petrified-to-cross-liberals-on-social-issues\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cTriggered\u201d podcast<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  why few stars speak out against the Biden administration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Some actively support the 81-year-old leader, like Stephen Colbert and Steven Spielberg. Colbert helped Biden raise money for Biden at a high-profile fundraiser last month. The Oscar-winning director is shaping this summer\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-turns-to-steven-spielberg-for-messaging-strategy-as-poll-numbers-lag\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">DNC Convention in Chicago.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Others who might bristle at Biden\u2019s inflation spike, porous border, and inability to call out the anti-Semitism roiling the country bite their tongue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They don\u2019t wanna get <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/sopranos-actress-says-people-in-hollywood-are-too-petrified-to-cross-liberals-on-social-issues\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">professionally whacked<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, she says.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThis administration has just been hammering all of these things and people in Hollywood are petrified\u2026 What, are you going to speak out against race, and sex, and all of that stuff?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cPeople are afraid to have those conversations, because first of all, you never win with a liberal. You\u2019re just never gonna win.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">De Matteo has essentially cut ties with Hollywood. She infamously created an OnlyFans account to help pay the bills, and she\u2019s now willing to criticize both her former industry and Democrats now that she\u2019s essentially retired as an actress.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They can\u2019t whack her any more, but is she exaggerating?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We\u2019ve seen two examples where a star dared to defy Hollywood groupthink and may have paid the price later.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ellen DeGeneres stood atop the Hollywood world via her beloved chat show \u201cEllen.\u201d And then she made the \u201cmistake\u201d of being friendly to former President George W. Bush. The two chatted at a Dallas Cowboys home game in late 2019, and the progressive blowback to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/beauty-queens-reveal-they-secretly-wed-after-keeping-their-relationship-private-since-2020\/\" title=\"Beauty Queens Reveal They Secretly Wed After Keeping Their Relationship Private Since 2020\">news stunned<\/a> the lesbian activist and comic.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_732129\" style=\"width: 394px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-732129\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Casey Durkin\/NBC via Getty Images<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She addressed the reaction on her show, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/ellen-degeneres-defends-george-w-bush-friendship-cowboys-game-tweets-monologue-2019-10-08\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">she didn\u2019t back down<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWhen I say be kind to one another, I don\u2019t mean be kind to the people who think the same way you do. I mean be kind to everyone.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">That was the fall of 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Less than a year later, DeGeneres\u2019 career collapsed. Industry insiders began leaking to the press how the \u201cEllen\u201d show created a toxic workplace environment. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The murmurs caught fire and the star with the nicest on-screen persona lost her bulletproof brand. She eventually left the program in 2022 and only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-republican-leader-slams-marjorie-taylor-greene-a-cancer-for-the-republican-party\/\" title=\"Top Republican Leader Slams Marjorie Taylor Greene: A \u2018Cancer For The Republican Party\u2019\">recently resurfaced<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Would former and current \u201cEllen\u201d staffers have leaked damaging reports about the star had she not enraged some of her loyal supporters? Was this punishment for reaching across the aisle in a very public fashion?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maybe. Possibly. It\u2019s unclear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">More recently, superstar Dwayne Johnson made a shocking confession. He told Fox News \u2013 Faux Noise! \u2013 that he wouldn\u2019t be endorsing <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/dwayne-the-rock-johnson-says-hes-unhappy-with-state-of-america-will-not-endorse-biden-again\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">President Joe Biden<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  as he did in 2020. He didn\u2019t want to divide the nation, and he preferred to let the American public have its say without his input.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_732121\" style=\"width: 874px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-732121\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sean Gardner\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He also indirectly threw Biden under the bus during a tight election cycle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAm I happy with the state of America right now? Well, that answer is no.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">That was in early April. A few weeks later, TheWrap.com published a blistering expose alleging Johnson <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewrap.com\/dwayne-johnson-red-one-late-budget-problems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">repeatedly showed up to work late<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">  \u2013 very late \u2013 on the set of his upcoming film \u201cRed One.\u201d That tardiness was reportedly up to eight hours.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">That was on days when he showed up at all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The investigation featured other damning tidbits, like how fellow A-lister Ryan Reynolds argued with Johnson over his tardy ways and how the ex-WWE star would urinate in bottles on set and have his handlers dispose of them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The studio behind the film has <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2024\/04\/30\/the-rock-ryan-reynolds-clash-netflix-red-notice-late-tardiness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">denied the allegations<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Johnson hasn\u2019t addressed them directly via his X social media feed. TMZ reports that Reynolds and Johnson did clash about the latter\u2019s tardiness but eventually made amends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The report\u2019s timing sure is \u2026 interesting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Johnson has enjoyed a sterling reputation in and outside of Hollywood up until now. Hard-working. Talented. Driven. Versatile.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This report is a direct attack on that brand. Is it a coincidence it went public weeks after the superstar refused to back Biden\u2019s re-election campaign?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Maybe. Possibly.
