This comparison sparked a discussion on the moral implications of such parallels. Rev. \u2064Al Sharpton of MSNBC\u2062 drew \u2062a parallel between anti-Israel protests on college campuses \u2063and \u200dthe events\u200c at the U.S. Capitol \u200don January 6. This comparison, made on &#8220;Morning Joe&#8221;\u200c with hosts Joe Scarborough and\u2063 Mika Brzezinski, \u200bignited\u200d a \u200bdebate on the ethical significance of these\u200c similarities.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Rev. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/al-sharpton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Al Sharpton<\/a> compared anti-Israel protests on university campuses to the U.S. Capitol breach on January 6, 2021, the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/msnbc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MSNBC<\/a> personality to do so this week.<\/p>\n<p>The comment was made during a \u201cMorning Joe\u201d segment with the show\u2019s co-hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, while images of police moving in on an encampment at UCLA were shown on the screen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow do the Democrats, how do all of us on that side, say January 6th was wrong if you can have the same pictures going on on college campuses? What are these universities doing? Why aren\u2019t they doing something?\u2019 And I\u2019ll echo the horror that this does look like January 6th. Eric Burlison (R-MO).<\/p>\n<p>Liberal comedian Bill Maher <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/keep-marching-for-hamas-kids-bill-maher-says-campus-protesters-just-dont-get-it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">critiqued<\/a> the anti-Israel demonstrations during a conversation with UFC president Dana White on his \u201cClub Random\u201d podcast, suggesting there are other issues in the Middle East more worthy of protests than \u201cmarching for Hamas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maher also warned of the political implications, especially in a presidential election year, saying, \u201cI keep trying to tell the Left this every week.
