Currently undergoing\u200b tests off the Southern\u200c California coast, this advanced \u2063vehicle \u2063boasts efficient hydrodynamic performance and ease of\u2063 deployment, hinting at its potential \u2064for \u200bglobal maritime operations.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) released new photos of a next generation weapon that is in development for the U.S. Military this week, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-united-states-and-china-trade-blows-at-alaska-talks-what-you-need-to-know\/\" title=\"The United States And China Trade Blows At Alaska Talks: What You Need To Know\">long-range<\/a>, uncrewed underwater vehicle (UUV) capable of firing a payload at enemy targets.<\/p>\n<p>The Manta Ray <a href=\"https:\/\/www.darpa.mil\/news-events\/2024-05-01\">prototype<\/a> built by Northrop Grumman is being tested in the waters off the coast of Southern California, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/no-spike-in-florida-coronavirus-cases-despite-no-mask-mandate\/\" title=\"No Spike in Florida Coronavirus Cases Despite No Mask Mandate\">agency<\/a> said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTesting demonstrated at-sea hydrodynamic performance, including submerged operations using all the vehicle\u2019s modes of propulsion and steering: buoyancy, propellers, and control surfaces,\u201d the statement said. \u201cNorthrop Grumman shipped the Manta Ray prototype in subsections from the build location in Maryland to its test location in California.
