href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/angry-fans-follow-tucker-carlson-door-start-canceling-fox-nation-subscriptions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox Nation<\/a> the network confirmed to <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2024\/04\/hunter-biden-fox-news-legal-threat-1235899554\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deadline<\/a> in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis program was produced trial\u201d in which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hip-hop-star-breaks-mold-remakes-classic-song-skewer-hunter-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hunter Biden<\/a> was a criminal defendant.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyers for the son of President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bidenomics-five-cities-rent-continues-explode-impact-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joe Biden<\/a> announced on Monday that they intended to imminently sue the network for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lindell-counter-suing-dominion-alleges-racketeering\/\" title=\"Lindell counter-suing Dominion, alleges racketeering\">alleged defamation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The argument made by the attorneys was that Fox\u2019s airing of blurred photos of nude Hunter Biden that have been circulating online for years equated to the breaking of \u201crevenge porn\u201d laws.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/04\/29\/politics\/hunter-biden-fox-letter\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a> obtained a letter Hunter Biden\u2019s legal team sent to Fox News that threatened <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hunter-bidens-lawyers-threaten-fox-news-reportedly-plans-sue-network\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">legal action<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFOX knows that these private and confidential images were hacked, stolen, and\/or manipulated digital material,\u201d the letter stated.<\/p>\n<p>CNN reported a lawsuit targeting Fox News would be part of Hunter Biden\u2019s \u201cstrategy to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-bidens-lawyers-threaten-fox-news-reportedly-plans-to-sue-network\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden's legal team warns Fox News and considers suing the network\">publicly fight back<\/a> against conservative media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fox News had initially defended its coverage of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-crushes-hunter-bidens-claim-federal-gun-charge-politically-motivated-refuses-dismiss-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the president\u2019s son<\/a> as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-trumps-lawyers-offer-former-presidents-answer-to-impeachment-article-on-incitement-of-insurrection\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Trump\u2019s Lawyers Offer Former President\u2019s Answer To Impeachment Article On Incitement Of Insurrection\">protected speech<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The network said in a statement obtained by Deadline, \u201cHunter Biden\u2019s lawyers have belatedly chosen to publicly attack Fox News\u2019 constitutionally protected coverage regarding their client.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMr. Biden is a public figure who has been the subject of investigations by both the Department of Justice and Congress, has been indicted by two different U.S. Attorney\u2019s Offices in California and Delaware, and has admitted to multiple incidents of wrongdoing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden\u2019s legal team had also demanded Fox News retract reporting about a former FBI asset who claimed he had firsthand knowledge of alleged <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fired-ukrainian-prosecutor-accuses-joe-biden-corruption-bribed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Biden family corruption<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fox-news-responds-white-house-demands-network-issue-retraction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alexander Smirnov<\/a> alleged he knew about corruption involving the Bidens and their business dealings in Ukraine, but he was charged with making false statements by the Justice Department earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>Smirnov has maintained he was being truthful and pleaded not guilty after he was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/sco-weiss\/pr\/grand-jury-returns-indictment-charging-fbi-confidential-human-source-felony-false\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">indicted<\/a> in
