Breaking into colleges, knocking the hell out of Columbia University,\u201d he told reporters outside of the New York courtroom where he is facing charges of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-delivers-blistering-message-inside-nyc-courthouse-assault-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/are-the-charges-brought-against-the-trump-organizations-cfo-part-of-a-witch-hunt-experts-weigh-in\/\" title=\"Are The Charges Brought Against The Trump Organization\u2019s CFO Part Of A Witch Hunt? That is \u2014 that is a big deal,\u201d Trump continued, referring to demonstrators who took over Hamilton Hall on the New York campus. They hate Trump.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/dS5bLoPip0\">pic.twitter.com\/dS5bLoPip0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 AJ Huber (@Huberton) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Huberton\/status\/1785318652289445909?\">April 30, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Republican presidential candidate knocked President Joe Biden for not addressing the campus demonstrations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s not capable of making a statement,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/1950s-gop-turns-natl-guard-protect-minority-students-radical-dems-leftists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">repeated<\/a> a reporter\u2019s question back to her regarding the issue, saying he does condemn \u201canti-Semitic protests\u201d but adding, \u201cI also condemn those that don\u2019t know what\u2019s going on with the Palestinians.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The White House released a similar on-the-one-hand, on-the-other-hand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2024\/04\/21\/statement-from-president-joe-biden-on-passover\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a> on April 21.<\/p>\n<p>Two days later, when asked by NBC News anchor Lester Holt whether the FBI was monitoring the campus protests, FBI Director Christopher Wray <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/national-security\/fbi-director-says-agency-sharing-intelligence-prevent-violence-college-rcna149018\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">responded<\/a>, \u201cWe don\u2019t monitor protests, but we do share intelligence about specific threats of violence with campuses, with state and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-pledges-orderly-transition-of-power\/\" title=\"President Trump pledges orderly transition of power\">local law enforcement<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Republican senators pressed Education Secretary Miguel Cardona during a subcommittee hearing Tuesday on whether he has taken action to address the demonstrations, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/04\/30\/miguel-cardona-campus-protests-00155140\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Do you think the Jan. 6 defendants have been treated fairly?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cYou have more immediate means at your disposal. For instance, removing federal funds from institutions that get federal funds \u2026 if they\u2019re in violation of Title VI,\u201d Sen. Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia said. \u201cAre you intending to do that?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/crt\/fcs\/TitleVI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Title VI<\/a> of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 bars discrimination based on shared ancestry, ethnic characteristics or national origin in institutions receiving federal financial assistance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s happening on our campuses is abhorrent. Hate has no place on our campuses and I\u2019m very concerned with the reports of antisemitism,\u201d Cardona told Capito, later adding, \u201cUltimately, if a school refuses to comply with Title VI, yes, we would remove federal dollars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>GOP Sen. Let me go in.\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/AntizionismIsAntisemitism?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#AntizionismIsAntisemitism<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udfa5\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/LY3mmCHXNw\">pic.twitter.com\/LY3mmCHXNw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Persian Jewess (@persianjewess) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/persianjewess\/status\/1785021873555902744?\">April 29, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Last week, 27 Republican senators \u2014 including, Capito, Britt, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Ted Cruz of Texas, Tom Cotton of Arkansas, John Kennedy of Louisiana and Marco Rubio of Florida \u2014 sent a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.capito.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/04-23-2024_capito_cotton_letter_on_antisemitic_mobs.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> letter<\/a> to Cardona and Attorney General Merrick Garland urging them to use their authority to \u201crestore order and protect Jewish students\u201d on college campuses.<\/p>\n<p>They noted multiple federal laws have been violated by the protesters, including those against discrimination and espousing support for terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration has been aggressively prosecuting those involved with the 2021 Capitol incursion.<\/p>\n<p>At a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/millions-cross-border-illegally-biden-doj-proclaims-thousands-jan-6-protesters-prosecuted-outside-capitol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">briefing<\/a> in January, U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves said there had been nearly 900 prosecutions of Jan. 6 defendants, the majority for nonviolent offenses.<\/p>\n<p>He said thousands of people who merely entered the Capitol grounds, but not the building itself, were still eligible to be charged.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>I heard a chilling comment the other day: \u201cWe don\u2019t even know if an election will be held in 2024.\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>That wasn\u2019t said by a conspiracy theorist or a doomsday prophet.
