If you want to be an apologist for Donald Trump that may be your role, but it ain\u2019t mine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t that think anybody can accuse me of that,\u201d Tur responded.<\/p>\n<p>Tur has been a vocal critic of Trump since his 2016 presidential campaign \u2014 Trump has even expressed his frustration with her personally in the years since, once even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/the-fix\/wp\/2016\/07\/27\/donald-trump-orders-nbcs-katy-tur-to-be-quiet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">telling<\/a> her to \u201cbe quiet\u201d during a press conference.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, MSNBC is a favorite target of Trump. The network is home to many leftist hosts who consistently criticize the former president and his administration.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden campaign is attempting to highlight the president\u2019s economic record leading up to November.<\/p>\n<p>However, as Tur pointed out, many of the job gains over the last few years simply compensate for those lost during the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, Americans are not happy with Biden on the economy.<\/p>\n<p>About 57% of all voters somewhat or strongly disapproved of the way Biden is handling the economy, <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/538\/voters-bidens-economy\/story?id=109749510\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to a poll earlier this month from Echelon Insights.
