The state\u2019s population for 2024 is about 410,000 people less than it was in 2020. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have again returned to an era of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/convulsions-at-yale-law-school-administrators-do-damage-control-as-faculty-members-slam-schools-dishonesty\/\" title=\"Convulsions at Yale Law School: Administrators Do Damage Control as Faculty Members Slam School\u2019s Dishonesty\">positive growth<\/a>, certainly lower than some of the go-go growth that we saw in the 70s and 80s and 90s,\u201d spokesman H.D. Palmer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/04\/30\/california-population-grows-reversing-trend-00155069\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>said<\/a>. \u201cSome of the major reasons that we had declines in population are receding in the rearview mirror.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>San Francisco and Los Angeles County grew very slightly in population after also facing large population declines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
