During the discussion, Trump was asked about pursuing retribution against Democrats, including President Biden, whom Trump says is directing the multiple prosecutions against him.<\/p>\n<p>The question began with the Time reporter attempting to argue against Trump\u2019s statement that Biden is behind the criminal cases against Trump, saying, \u201cI just want to say for the record, there\u2019s no evidence that President Biden directed this prosecution against you. But even if we stipulated that \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI always hate the way a reporter will make those statements,\u201d Trump shot back. \u201cThey know it\u2019s so wrong. It\u2019s just sort of to protect yourself. But no, no. His head of the Justice Department, one of the top few people, was put into the DOJ. Fani [Willis], Mr. [Nathan] Wade, Fani\u2019s lover, spent hours in Washington with the DOJ working on my case. The DOJ worked with Letitia James on my case. The DOJ worked with deranged Jack Smith. He\u2019s a deranged person on my case. No, no, this is all Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yet, Trump clarified that he would not want to pursue retribution against Biden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t want to hurt Biden. I\u2019m not looking to hurt Biden. I wouldn\u2019t want to hurt him. I have too much respect for the office,\u201d Trump said. \u201cBut he is willing to hurt a former president who is very popular, who got 75 million votes. I got more votes than any other sitting president in history. And I have probably eight cases right now that are all inspired by them, including my civil case.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Time reporter then asked Trump about appointing a special prosecutor to investigate Biden and his family over their alleged corrupt dealings with foreign businesses. Trump said that \u201cit depends [on] what happens with the Supreme Court,\u201d referring to his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/supreme-court-to-hear-arguments-on-whether-trump-has-immunity-from-federal-prosecution\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">presidential immunity case<\/a> before the high court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf they\u2019ve ruled that they don\u2019t have immunity, Biden \u2026 would be prosecuted for 20 different acts,\u201d Trump added.<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-describedby=\"sk-tooltip-9096\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/onelink.to\/dwapp&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1713635892817000&#038;usg=AOvVaw3lXMk_jhNQC8Fngje8e8XV\">CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The former president was also asked about going after other Democrats, such as Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who are currently prosecuting the leading presidential candidate in the middle of the 2024 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Trump said that what Bragg and Willis are doing \u201cis a terrible thing\u201d but added that he wouldn\u2019t instruct his attorney general to prosecute the Democratic officials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, I don\u2019t want to do that,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cWe are going to have great retribution through success. We\u2019re going to make our country successful again.
