The network faces potential legal \u200brepercussions for \u2064publishing \u2062contentious content.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<header> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/news\/\">  News <\/a>   <span> <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/johnathanjones\/\">  <\/a> <\/p>\n<p> <span>   By <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/author\/johnathanjones\/%20\"><span>Johnathan Jones<\/span><\/a> <\/span> <span>   April 29, 2024 at 2:25pm <\/span> <\/span>  <\/header>\n<section>\n<p>Attorneys for Hunter Biden plan to \u201cimminently\u201d sue Fox News for alleged defamation for publishing and airing images of him that he views as defamatory.<\/p>\n<p>The reported coming lawsuit surrounds sexually explicit images that have circulated online now for years that presumably originated from the son of President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/indias-prime-minister-met-biden-government-dispatched-hit-squad-assassinate-us-citizen-american-soil-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Joe Biden\u2019s<\/a> former laptop.<\/p>\n<p>The computer was reportedly abandoned at a Delaware computer repair shop in 2019, and it became the property of the man who owned the store \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mac-repair-store-owner-recounts-chilling-threat-fbi-made-regarding-hunter-biden-laptop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Paul Mac Issac<\/a> \u2014 as the New York Post reported when it broke the story in October 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Isaac previously said that he copied the hard drive before the FBI seized it in 2019 and that what he saw on the hard drive disturbed him.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly four years after nude images of the president\u2019s son began circulating, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/04\/29\/politics\/hunter-biden-fox-letter\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a> reported on Monday that Hunter Biden intends to sue Fox News in a \u201cstrategy to publicly fight back against conservative media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Per CNN, Fox News and Fox Corporation were each recently sent letters from Hunter Biden\u2019s legal team that called explicit images of their client \u201chacked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The letter likened publishing blurred versions of the images to breaking \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ap-socialist-lawmaker-admitted-revenge-porn-will-not-expelled-state-legislature\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revenge porn<\/a>\u201d laws.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFOX knows that these private and confidential images were hacked, stolen, and\/or manipulated digital material,\u201d the letter stated.<\/p>\n<div id=\"firefly-poll-container\">\n<p>Does Fox News deserve to be sued?<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>CNN reported, \u201c[Hunter Biden is] seeking corrections and retractions on air and in online articles to claims that President Biden and his son engaged in a bribery scheme abroad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHunter Biden\u2019s legal team has undertaken an aggressive legal and public relations strategy for several months. His lawyers have fired off letters demanding investigations into Hunter Biden\u2019s opponents and filed a series of lawsuits against his detractors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/msnbc-disaster-panel-goes-rogue-rips-biden-apart-catastrophic-morning-joe-segment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MSNBC<\/a>, which also obtained the letters, reported on the air Monday that Hunter Biden would \u201cimminently\u201d sue Fox News.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">BREAKING: Lawyers for Hunter Biden plan to sue Fox News \u2018imminently, according to a letter sent to the network and obtained by NBC News. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/ydfBYKhBFu\">pic.twitter.com\/ydfBYKhBFu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 MSNBC (@MSNBC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MSNBC\/status\/1784997681036664891?\">April 29, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Attorneys for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-crushes-hunter-bidens-claim-federal-gun-charge-politically-motivated-refuses-dismiss-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hunter Biden<\/a> had not filed a lawsuit as of Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>CNN reported the 54-year-old\u2019s legal representatives \u201canticipate\u201d such a suit in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>The lawyers also want Fox News to retract any reporting about former FBI source Alexander Smirnov, who has been charged by the Justice Department with allegedly lying to federal agents.<\/p>\n<p>The DOJ in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/sco-weiss\/pr\/grand-jury-returns-indictment-charging-fbi-confidential-human-source-felony-false#:~:text=Today%2C%20a%20federal%20court%20unsealed,in%20violation%20of%2018%20U.S.C.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a statement<\/a> two months ago alleged that Smirnov was lying when he previously told the FBI that Hunter Biden and Joe Biden were engaged in a scheme in Ukraine to use the latter\u2019s influence to cash in.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden\u2019s attorneys stated that the indictment of Smirnov required a retraction on Fox News\u2019 coverage of the corruption claims he made before he was charged in February with making a false statement and creating a false and fictitious record.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/chilling-final-monologue-tucker-carlson-prepared-fox-news-released-first-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> declined to comment on the letter and the threat of the reportedly forthcoming lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>The network previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fox-news-responds-white-house-demands-network-issue-retraction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stood by its reporting<\/a> of claims from sources that the Biden family used Hunter Biden\u2019s position on the board of Burisma Holdings to squeeze money from officials at the company.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p><b><i>An Important Message from Our Staff:<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span>We who work here at The Western Journal have fought for years against Big Tech and the elites who want to shut us down and then shut America down. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Make no mistake \u2014 nothing will be the same after November 2024.
