The potential lawsuit alleges a \u200dconspiracy \u200cto defame Hunter Biden, exploit his image unlawfully, and publish hacked images.\u200d Fox News hosts like Sean Hannity, Jesse Watters, and Maria \u2064Bartiromo were asked \u200cto \u2064preserve records, remove unfavorable content, and provide \u2062updates on an FBI informant&#8217;s indictment.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/hunter-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hunter Biden<\/a>, the indicted son of President Joe Biden, is threatening <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/fox-news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox News<\/a> with a defamation lawsuit unless the cable network bends to demands from his lawyers over unflattering content about his personal life and business dealings, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/amazon-created-new-hate-speech-policy-before-banning-bestselling-book-on-transgenderism\/\" title=\"Amazon Created New \u2018Hate Speech\u2019 Policy Before Banning Bestselling Book on Transgenderism\">including content<\/a> from a laptop that he purportedly abandoned at a repair shop.<\/p>\n<p>A letter sent last Tuesday warned of \u201cimminent\u201d litigation over an alleged \u201cconspiracy and subsequent actions to defame Mr. Biden and paint him in a false light, the unlicensed commercial exploitation of his image, name, and likeness, and the unlawful publication of hacked intimate images of him,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/politics-news\/lawyers-hunter-biden-plan-sue-fox-news-rcna149707\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to NBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Axios <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/04\/29\/hunter-biden-fox-news-lawsuit-strategy-defamation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> the attorneys requested hosts including Sean Hannity, Jesse Watters, and Maria Bartiromo preserve records, called for the removal of the <a href=\"https:\/\/nation.foxnews.com\/the-trial-of-hunter-biden-nation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox Nation mock trial<\/a> for Hunter Biden, and an update on the\u00a0indictment of a longtime FBI informant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/fbi-informant-accused-of-lying-about-bidens-claimed-to-have-russian-intel-contacts-doj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">accused<\/a> of fabricating a multi-million dollar bribery scheme involving the Bidens.<\/p>\n<p>News reports about the letter on Monday relayed that Fox News had not responded despite a stated deadline for a response by Friday evening on April 26. However, there was no indication that Hunter Biden\u2019s legal team had filed suit yet. The Daily Wire reached out to Fox News seeking comment and will update this report if one is given.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyers for Hunter Biden have initiated litigation against others, including a case against a former Trump White House aide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/hunter-biden-sues-former-trump-wh-staffer-over-infamous-laptop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">over claims<\/a> he violated state and federal law with the publication of photos and emails from the infamous laptop linked to the younger Biden. The defendant, Garrett Ziegler, asked a federal judge to dismiss the suit.<\/p>\n<p>The Fox News lawsuit comes after the network agreed last year to pay nearly $800 million to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/fox-settles-landmark-defamation-suit-sparing-murdoch-from-witness-stand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">settle<\/a> a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doj-faces-criticism-for-defending-president-trump\/\" title=\"DOJ faces criticism for defending President Trump\">defamation case brought<\/a> by Dominion Voting Systems stemming from the 2020 election. He has pleaded not guilty to gun and tax charges. Trials are set to begin later this year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2024\/03\/14\/hunter-biden-trial-date\/72957737007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in June<\/a>.
