Law enforcement agencies \u200din Massachusetts and Rhode Island collaboratively shut down a jewelry theft ring that caused losses exceeding $4 million over a six-year period. Four Rhode Island individuals, comprising Jovan Lemon, Paul Lemon, Steven Berdugo, and Paul Miller, have been\u2064 apprehended \u2063in \u2063connection with around 43 \u200dburglaries.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Law enforcement agencies from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/massachusetts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Massachusetts<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/rhode-island\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Rhode Island<\/a> worked together to take down a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/crime\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>burglary<\/a> ring that stole upward of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/money\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>$4 million<\/a> in jewelry over nearly a six-year period, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/police\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Massachusetts State Police<\/a> officials announced.<\/p>\n<p>At least four Rhode Island men \u2014 Jovan Lemon, 29, Paul Lemon, 30, Steven Berdugo, 28, and Paul Miller, 46 \u2014 were taken into custody and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sidney-powell-is-an-american-legal-giant\/\" title=\"Sidney Powell Is an American Legal Giant\">indicted<\/a> on charges connected to roughly 43 burglaries and break-ins that occurred across Massachusetts from 2018 to 2024, according to a release from the state police Friday.<\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-top1f2\">\u201cThe defendants were directly indicted by a Middlesex Grand Jury on April 18, 2024 for a total of 95 counts of unarmed burglary and breaking and entering a dwelling house in the daytime with intent to commit a felony,\u201d the release said.<\/p>\n<p id=\"viewer-si3yz4\">\u201cThe residents of the majority of homes were persons of Indian or South Asian heritage.
