Stephanopoulos and Psaki explored \u2063Trump&#8217;s legal matters, accentuating the political scenario.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p>For those who don\u2019t spend their Sunday mornings glued to the television \u2014 and their Sunday afternoons attempting to dig through a week\u2019s worth of network and cable news media spin \u2014 The Daily Wire has compiled a short summary of what you may have missed.<\/p>\n<p>This week\u2019s spin began with Saturday evening\u2019s White House Correspondence Dinner, where President Joe Biden issued the marching orders \u2014 namely, that it should be open season on former President Donald Trump \u2014 that all but one of the network Sunday shows dutifully carried out just hours later.<\/p>\n<p>During his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-complains-about-disinformation-while-spreading-disinformation-at-whcd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">brief remarks<\/a>, Biden first framed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-desantis-beats-trump-in-2024-straw-poll-at-top-conservative-summit\/\" title=\"BREAKING: DeSantis Beats Trump In 2024 Straw Poll At Top Conservative Summit\">2024 presidential race<\/a> as a choice that would determine whether democracy was \u201cstill the sacred cause of America,\u201d suggesting that the answer to that question was no unless the people reelected him. He then laid the burden on the press, claiming that the people would not have the right information to choose correctly if they did not act.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have to take this seriously. Eight years ago, it could have been written off as just Trump talk, but no longer, not after January 6. I\u2019m sincerely not asking you to take sides, but asking you to rise up to the seriousness of the moment,\u201d Biden said. \u201cEvery single one of us has roles to play \u2014 a serious role, to play in making sure democracy endures, American democracy. I have my role, but with all due respect, so do you. In the age of disinformation, credible information that people can trust is more important than ever and that makes you, and I mean this with the bottom of my heart, makes you more important than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s \u201cNerd Prom\u201d exhortation came on the heels of an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/biden-says-im-happy-to-debate-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a> with radio shock jock Howard Stern, during which he had complained that the press was reluctant to hold Donald Trump accountable, ostensibly for fear of retaliation from the former president.<\/p>\n<p>And sure enough, as Sunday morning dawned, the usual suspects loaded up the last week\u2019s worth of ammunition and turned their aim on Trump.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>CBS\u2019 \u201cFace the Nation,\u201d <\/strong>host Margaret Brennan cited recent polls and asked how it was possible that Trump was breaking even with Biden in several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/huge-sidney-powell-witness-whom-ny-times-described-as-always-the-smartest-person-in-the-room-concludes-hundreds-of-thousands-of-votes-transferred-from-trump-to-biden-in-all-battleground-states\/\" title=\"HUGE! Sidney Powell Witness Whom NY Times Described as \"Always the Smartest Person in the Room\" Concludes Hundreds of Thousands of Votes Transferred from Trump to Biden IN ALL BATTLEGROUND STATES\">key battleground states<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Noting that Biden had won Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin in 2020, Brennan asked CBS\u2019 elections and surveys director Anthony Salvanto why Trump was only two points behind Biden in Michigan and one point ahead in the other two states.<\/p>\n<p>Brennan made no mention of the fact that Trump had won all three of those states in 2016, when he was running against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Donald Trump and President Biden are now running even in three battleground states that Biden won in 2020: Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. No. I think all these trials are political.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The South Carolina Senator went on to argue that he didn\u2019t believe Americans were going to decide their votes based on Trump\u2019s legal troubles at all. Rather, he said, they would vote based on the issues that affected them personally: inflation, crime, and the ongoing crisis at the southern border.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;If he&#8217;s convicted in any of these trials, would it change my view?
