The second company \u201cprovided financial backing for a series of loans that a hospital chain paid Jim Biden to arrange.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jim Biden allegedly courted money from Qatari sources for ventures in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/United-States\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>United States<\/a>, a few months after Biden left the vice presidency in the Obama administration. Public records and emails indicate Jim Biden searched for a way to work around restrictions for moving money internationally, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>In February, Jim Biden implied to congressional investigators he stopped his efforts \u201cfor lack of viable projects to back.\u201d Lewitt\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/durham-appears-to-squeeze-schiff-zinger-into-trump-russia-probe-testimony\/\" title=\"Durham's Testimony Suggests Schiff's Zinger in Trump-Russia Probe\">testimony suggests<\/a> that Jim Biden\u2019s ties to the Qatari government are deeper than previously known. Lewitt is scheduled for a planned interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/House-of-Representatives\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>House<\/a> impeachment inquiry investigators, but a date has not been set. <\/p>\n<p>When Jim Biden began recruiting fundraising for his healthcare business, where he worked closely with Americore, Qatar was in a time of diplomatic unease. In 2017, neighboring nations cut their diplomatic ties with the Middle Eastern country due to its alleged support of terrorism. Because of that, Qatar began strengthening its ties to the US and countries in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Jim Biden teamed up with Platinum Group\u2019s CEO Amer Rustom, who had ties to the Middle East and Lewitt. Then, Jim Biden and Rustom wrote a draft letter to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Qatar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Qatar<\/a> Investment Authority, the country\u2019s sovereign wealth fund, boasting about his family\u2019s connections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy family could provide a wealth of introductions and business opportunities at the highest levels that I believe would be worthy of the interest of His Excellency,\u201d and, \u201cOn behalf of the Biden family, I welcome your interest here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, fundraising efforts began gaining more traction as Sara Biden, Jim\u2019s wife, got in contact with a Platinum Group executive, Julie Lander, in an email with a draft presentation to a potential investor.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am following up from the meeting we had with the Minister,\u201d wrote Lander. \u201cYour approach with him was flawless. He requested more information on Americore.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the presentation, she said Americore was looking for \u201c$30 million in financing to acquire hospitals\u201d She also described Jim Biden as \u201cBrother and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Campaign\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Campaign<\/a> Finance Chair of former Vice President Joe Biden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lewitt\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-video-links-biden-to-ukrainian-corruption-burisma-indictment-reveals-ex-president-yanukovich-illegally-obtained-7-4-billion-laundered-thru-fund-close-to-us-democratic-party\/\" title=\"New Video Links Biden to Ukrainian Corruption \u2013 Burisma Indictment Reveals Ex-President Yanukovich Illegally Obtained .4 Billion Laundered Thru Fund \u201cClose to US Democratic Party\u201d\">investment fund<\/a>, Third Friday, made a series of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/loan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>loans<\/a> to Americore to keep the company alive until the $30 million arrived.<\/p>\n<p>Americore\u2019s fundraising efforts hit roadblocks, however, as legal troubles amounted to moving investments over country borders. Jim Biden said Rustom and Lewitt \u201care waiting on World Bank approval.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He later expressed frustration with the roadblocks to Rustom. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe $30 million was committed to over two months ago and we made moves predicated on that available line of credit,\u201d he wrote.\u202f\u201dThings have happened in the interim that are completely understandable, but the fact remains that the $5 million at this point in time is critical in order to get by for the big picture.\u202f\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to <em>Politico<\/em>, \u201cJim Biden and Lewitt traveled to Qatar in mid-2018 as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/fundraising\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>fundraising<\/a> efforts, but it is not clear whether any meeting between Jim Biden and Qatar\u2019s then-finance minister, Ali Sharif Al Emadi, took place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lewitt expressed confidence that loans to Americore would be repaid soon via funds from Dubai. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNothing else changes in terms of what I will be doing re Americore,\u201d Lewitt wrote, \u201csince I will be just as responsible for the Dubai$$$ with the added worry of being driven around the desert\u2026.LOL.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The fundraising efforts have become the target of various legal controversies. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title><strong>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM THE WASHINGTON EXAMINER<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In 2022, investors from Lewitt\u2019s company sued him, claiming he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=0000018e-6184-dc9c-ab9f-69f44b670000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>embezzled their money<\/a> through Americore to Jim Biden and others. In a federal court in Florida, Third Friday\u2019s loans to Americore were being investigated including other dealings that involved Jim Biden, Lewitt, Rustom and the Platinum Group.
