With a\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-joe-biden-approval-rating-hits-record-low-as-he-reaches-one-year-as-president\/\" title=\"Poll: Joe Biden Approval Rating Hits Record Low as He Reaches One Year as President\">record-low approval rating<\/a> of 38.7%, the lowest in 68 years, and criticisms on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-caught-lying-about-buy-american-plagiarizing-president-trump\/\" title=\"Biden caught lying about \u2018Buy American\u2019, plagiarizing President Trump\">economic policies<\/a> and \u200bleadership, Biden&#8217;s performance is drawing mixed reviews. Conservative Jed Babbin rated the week a\u200b \u201cD-minus,\u201d \u2063while pollster\u200c John\u200d Zogby gave it a\u2063 \u201cC\u201d. Biden&#8217;s statements on various issues have also raised concerns.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>This week\u2019s White House Report Card finds President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Joe Biden<\/a> in a tornado of trouble.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s start with his polling. <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/644252\/biden-13th-quarter-approval-average-lowest-historically.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Gallup<\/a> on Friday averaged other polling that has shown just how unpopular the president is. Biden has dropped to a 68-year presidential low, 38.7% approval. That is nearly 10 points below where former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/jimmy-carter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Jimmy Carter<\/a> was at this point in his presidency, and we remember what happened in his reelection bid.<\/p>\n<p>That dismal approval rating puts Biden exactly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/washington-secrets\/2979821\/biden-is-a-stunning-10-points-away-from-reelection-lock\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>10 points below<\/a> the bare historical minimum he needs to secure reelection, according to Gallup.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>Next there is the economy. Not only has inflation dug in and GDP petered out, but union workers are publicly ripping Biden\u2019s leadership on live TV.<\/p>\n<p>And there were more examples of the president\u2019s stumbles and mumbles. First <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/2980606\/gait-keepers-biden-isnt-walking-alone-white-house-lawn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>there were reports<\/a> of aides being ordered to walk between the president and media cameras to hide Biden\u2019s feeble gait. There were his weird and wrong claims that he used to drive 18-wheelers. And he\u2019s back to reading aloud directions to \u201cpause\u201d on his teleprompter.<\/p>\n<p>Both our graders saw troubles this week. Conservative Jed Babbin graded it a \u201cD-minus\u201d and highlighted moves by the White House to hurt the economy. Pollster John Zogby graded the week a \u201cC\u201d and said the president\u2019s stumbles have blocked chances to take advantage of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-democrats-approve-budget-resolution-all-republicans-vote-no\/\" title=\"Senate Democrats Approve Budget Resolution, All Republicans Vote No\">problems facing<\/a> his political foe, former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jed Babbin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>Grade: D-<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>President Biden\u2019s war on the American economy continued with more regulations this week designed to bring it to a halt. And that\u2019s not the half of it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>You might remember former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s 2017 remark that there were \u201cvery fine people\u201d on both sides of the Charlottesville, Virginia. \u201cwhite supremacist\u201d rally. Biden said that sparked his entry into the 2020 presidential race.<\/em><\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p><em>But this week he said something similar when talking about anti-semitic protests at colleges. He condemned the hate talk, but added, \u201cI also condemn those who don\u2019t understand what\u2019s going on with the Palestinians\u2026\u201d Biden is still terrified of the Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) wing of the Democratic Party who won\u2019t vote for him unless he bashes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Israel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Israel<\/a> and qualifies every defense of American values with defenses of the Palestinians and their ilk.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Biden also continued his EV push. But his far-sighted regulatory regime is, at the same time, making it harder to produce electricity. This week a final regulation was issued that requires coal and natural gas electricity producers to effectively cut all emissions by 2032. For many the only solution will be to close, thus reducing the amount of electricity available. If you want to shut down the U.S. economy, that\u2019s one easy way to do it.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Meanwhile, inflation caused by Biden\u2019s radical spending continues. Old Joe celebrated Earth Day by subsidizing solar panels \u2014 more billions spent on nonsense. Bidenomics continues to wreck our economy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And let\u2019s not forget Biden\u2019s latest venture into \u201cnet neutrality\u201d which will reduce competition on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/internet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>internet<\/a> and raise consumer prices.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Fortunately, there wasn\u2019t a lot of international action this week, though the Middle East remains on edge following Israel\u2019s response to Iran\u2019s massive attack last week.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Finally, Old Joe claimed to have driven an 18-wheeler in his long career. Of course, he never did. And he managed to read out loud the instructions on his teleprompter to \u201cpause\u201d at one point. His mental state continues to decline rapidly.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>John Zogby<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>Grade: C<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are tied in a two-way and tied in a five-way race. Not \u2018virtually\u2019 tied, but really tied. And they are likely to stay that way for the foreseeable future.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Biden should have been able to take advantage of Trump\u2019s legal and financial woes, gag orders and all. But the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/media-say-bidens-female-led-comms-is-a-first-trump-has-that-now\/\" title=\"Media Say Biden's Female-Led Comms Is A First. Trump Has That Now\">current president<\/a> got gob-smacked by pretty lousy economic news. No sooner had Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan Chase, declared a boom economy, a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/cnn-celebrated-new-york-posts-false-story-embarrassment-heres-a-list-of-false-stories-theyve-pushed-themselves\/\" title=\"CNN Celebrated New York Post\u2019s False Story Embarrassment. Here\u2019s A List Of False Stories They\u2019ve Pushed Themselves\">report showed<\/a> the GDP grinding down to an annualized 1.6% growth rate and inflation jumping back to a 3.7%.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The president traveled to key battleground states touting federal spending that was generating <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/jobs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>jobs<\/a> and winning adulation from the locals.
